Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1888

After letting out a sigh of relief, Ned looked at Daniel worriedly, "Brother, do you want to go out for breakfast first?"

Was he trying to send him away?

This fact was like a knife which stabbed into Daniel's heart, but if he continued to stay here, perhaps it would irritate his mother.

He had to... slowly turn around... and leave.

Outside the ward.

After finishing the soybean milk, the police officer raised his chin to him and said, "Did you hear what I just said?"

Daniel silently nodded.

"How many days have passed? Your mother still can't recognize you. I think this is retribution.” The police officer was not malicious, and he was just telling the truth.

Daniel asked without any expression, "What time are we leaving?"

"This is the countryside, there is no airport here, so what do you think? Of course, the sooner the better," said the police officer.

Daniel's face was very gloomy. After a while, he said, "Please wait for a moment. I'll go in and tell my younger brother."

"Hurry up," said the police officer.

Daniel didn't have the time to reply. He immediately rushed into the ward.

From the perspective of the police officers, they could see Daniel calling Ned to the side and holding his shoulder to talk with him.

From the fact that one of the brothers was speaking and the other was nodding their heads, it should be Daniel who was warning his younger brother.

The police officer waited for a while. When they saw that the brothers had not finished speaking, they wanted to catch Daniel.

They didn't expect Daniel to end the conversation in the next second. He slipped his hand from Ned's shoulder to his back and patted it three times before turning around and walking towards the hospital bed.

Just when the police officer thought that he was going to forcefully recognize his mother, they saw him just kneel down and kowtow to the indifferent Jemima three times.

After that, he stood up and turned to walk toward them.

"Brother!" For some reason, Ned had the feeling that after his older brother had left, they would not meet again.

He could not help but feel a little scared, just like the calmness in his heart that had been disturbed, making him unconsciously follow behind his brother.

Seeing this scene, the police officer asked, "I remember that you need to return to school at noon, right?"

"Ah, that's right." Ned came back to his senses and scratched his hair. His eyes were still fixed on Daniel. "I, I'll see my brother off."

"Oh, okay then.” the police officer had received a lot of "benefits" from Ned these two days, so they turned a blind eye to it.

"Let's go." Someone said, and then they went outside.

On the way, Ned's eyes had been glued to his brother. However, Daniel did not look back even when they walked out of the hospital gate.

It was so strange... Why didn't his brother look back at him?

Ned became anxious and couldn't help but ask, "Brother! Give me a call to tell me that you're safe after you get to Northville?"

Daniel did not respond.

Ned's heart sank. It seemed that his intuition was right. His brother really did not want to talk to him.

But why? Wasn't he fine just now?

They finally stopped in front of a van, which were rented by the police officers.

"Get on the car," someone said to Daniel.

After closing his eyes, Daniel stepped in and sat into the innermost part of the car. The empty seats on the side were quickly filled up with police officers.

A minute later, the door of the interrogation room was pushed open. Daniel looked up and saw Owen and another policeman in charge of taking records walking in.

The other party pulled out a chair and sat down. Without further ado, he directly pushed a piece of paper over with a few lines of words printed on it. Daniel saw this and asked, "For me?"

Owen nodded in agreement.

Only then did Daniel reach out with his handcuffed hand and took a closer look at the paper.

He saw the details of supporting his mother, such as treatment fees, care fees, living expenses and so on, as well as the tuition fees for his little brother and the living expenses for four years...

"If you feel there is no problem, just sign it. From today onwards, this contract officially takes effect." Owen said, motioning the policeman next to him to lend a pen to

Daniel.

"I have no more questions." Daniel took the pen and signed his name quickly. Then he pushed the pen and paper to Owen's direction. He stared into his eyes and said slowly, "I hope Officer Hopper can keep every single word of the contract!"

"I swear in the name of my party." After saying that, Owen bowed his head and signed his name on the paper.

Daniel's tensed heart finally relaxed. "I hope you can send someone to my mother's place right away. She's currently alone in the hospital, so I'm not at ease."

Owen said, "Then you can rest assured now. I sent someone over early in the morning. They will reach there before noon."

Daniel looked at him in surprise. After a long time, he said, "Thank you."

Owen waved his hand and said, "Tell me. I hope you can provide me information about Sarah's uncle."

Half an hour later-

"That's all I know."

Daniel looked nervously at Owen, afraid that what he said would not draw the attention of the other party. This way, perhaps the other party would feel that it was not worth it and might even break the agreement.
