Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1970

When they heard Hobart say that if he was not satisfied with the result, he would sue Jarvy again and again, Keefe and Simone's faces darkened.

They didn't want to see their son be humiliated in court again and again. This was a hopeless struggle. Their only wish was that the court could investigate the case based on the circumstances.

But now, it seemed that this hope had been ruined by their son.

Putting aside the fact that he had been accusing Maryanne time and time again, he had even been exposed by the court. No matter how good their lawyer was, could he defend their son still?

It was just like what Keefe and Simone thought, Jarvy's slander did not affect Maryanne at all. Instead, Jarvy trapped himself. His lawyer had scolded him countless times in his heart. Shouldn't Jarvy consult with him first before he wronged Maryanne? What an idiot!

Seeing that the debate between the siblings of Home of Smith and Jarvy was drawing to an end and that the victor had already emerged from the water, the judge asked in a timely manner, "Plaintiff, defendant, are you willing to mediate this dispute?"

Maryanne replied firmly, "I'm not willing!"

Jarvy sneered. This b*tch was really lucky!

Since the plaintiff was not willing, the judge no longer mediated. He nodded to the secretary at the side who recorded everything the siblings of Home of Smith and Jarvy said. She immediately printed out the record of the hearing and gave it to the siblings of Home of Smith and Jarvy to see if there was any discrepancy in their statements.

After the siblings of the Home of Smith confirmed that there was nothing wrong, Jarvy also shook his head with a gloomy look.

After that, the judge dropped the gavel and declared the trial closed and he would sentence Jarvy at a later date.

Hearing this, the audience couldn't help but applaud. Today's hearing ended with the young lady's victory.

Milton took the lead and breathed a sigh of relief.

Amelia walked past Patrick and smiled at him. "Congratulations!”

"Mm!" Milton nodded solemnly at her before turning to look at Maryanne, who was seated in the plaintiff's seat. He saw her hugging Hobart's arm as she jumped for joy, like a lark.

The next second, she turned her head to the gallery and unexpectedly met his eyes.

After a moment, she raised her other hand and waved at him. The smile on her face was so bright that it melted his heart.

"Hurry up," Sierra, who was sitting beside him, reminded.

"Okay, mom," Milton answered, got up with his crutch, and walked in Maryanne's direction.

Amelia turned her gaze from Milton's back to the man next to her. "Mr. Hopper, do you think Hobart will agree to let Milton and Maryanne be together after this?"

Patrick replied, "It's difficult."

Amelia couldn't help but ask, "Why?"

"Because Hobart loves his sister a lot, and his love for Maryanne contains a kind of possessiveness, so he absolutely cannot tolerate Maryanne being with the man he hates."

Amelia didn't believe him at all. "No way! Without Milton, how could Maryanne win today? Hobart really doesn't know what's good for him."

Patrick curled his lips. "Don't underestimate possessive men."

Hearing that, Amelia looked at him thoughtfully and said, "You're right."

On the other side, Maryanne threw off Hobart's arm as soon as Milton approached. She threw herself into Milton's arms and gave him a good kiss.

"Hey!" Hobart was fuming with rage.

Maryanne ignored him and kissed Milton.

Milton was enjoying with his eyes closed.

The next second, Maryanne was pulled away by Hobart.

Maryanne could not help but complain, "Brother, today is a happy day for me. Can't you give me a good time?"

Hobart was both sincere and selfish. "My little princess, it took me great effort to get the lawyer to make you a pure and innocent girl. Can you stop making me worry? Didn't you see that all the people who were listening in the gallery had not left?"

"What's the big deal? Milton is my boyfriend. Even if I kiss him in front of the whole world, nobody can say anything about it!" Maryanne announced proudly.

Hobart was almost out of breath. "After you've taken advantage of me, you immediately turned your back on me."

Just a moment ago, she stuck to him and shouted and jumped, but now she showed an expression of "you're in the way". Was it because he was old, or because she was too ignorant?

"Brother, what do you mean 'I've taken advantage of you'? The lawyer was hired by Milton, and the clues the police found were also provided by him. Even if I made use of someone, it should be him, right?"

The more she spoke, the darker her brother's face became. Maryanne could not help but add, "Alright, I admit that you've helped me a lot, but it's definitely not as much as my darling, right, darling?"

Maryanne winked at Milton with a smile.

Milton extended his hand to her, like a knight ready to welcome the princess back. Hobart was the evil dragon standing between them. "Maryanne, come over here."

Maryanne was about to rush over immediately.

Hobart held onto her hand, refusing to let go.

Maryanne waved her hand. "Brother, before I start hating you, let go of your hand. Don't wait until you're worn out and go to my hotel to cry again. I won't care about you even if you get drunk this time."

Hobart roared, "I didn't cry!"

"Well, well, well, you're super fierce, okay?" Maryanne said insincerely, "Let go of me, or I'll bite you!"

Just as the brother and sister were in a deadlock, a voice came from behind, "Maryanne."

Tony sighed and said, "Maryanne, I didn't lie to you. I really don't want to stop you from dating Milton anymore."

"That's right, that only applies to you!" Maryanne said disappointedly. "Your daughter is so stupid that she almost fell for your trap just now. Once I'm tricked by you into going home, you'll lock me up, won't you?"

"No, we won't!" Jazmin said as she tried to hold Maryanne's hand again.

Maryanne stepped back and said, "Sorry, I can't trust you anymore."

Jazmin could not help but stare at Milton angrily. It was like he had taken away her daughter, in a sense.

"Stop talking nonsense! Just see what I'll do!" Hobart took off his tie and walked toward Maryanne.

Milton stepped forward. "What are you doing?"

Hobart said impatiently, "I'm bringing my sister home!"

Milton looked at the tie between his hands and said with a sullen face, "Do you want to use this to make Maryanne go home?"

"Is there a rope here?" Hobart meant that if there was a rope, he would choose to use a rope.

"You're crazy!" Milton was furious. "She just experienced this kind of situation. You still want to harm her?!"

"I've already given her a week to calm herself down. That's enough!" Hobart said as he reached out to catch Maryanne.

Milton threw aside his crutch and punched Hobart hard.

After Jarvy was dealt with, the external contradictions immediately returned to the internal contradictions, and there was no trace of cooperation before.

"Hobart!" Jazmin hurried forward to support Hobart.

Seeing the corner of his mouth bleeding, Jazmin could not help but say harshly, "Mr. Cook, you have grabbed my daughter. How dare you hit my son now! I, I will fight with

you!"

"Mom!" Maryanne immediately turned around and hugged Milton. "Milton hit him because of me. If you want to hit him, you should hit me instead!"

How could Jazmin bear to beat her own daughter? She could not help but stand rooted to the ground.

Hobart touched the corner of his injured mouth and locked his angry eyes on Milton. He really didn't believe that he couldn't beat a cripple!

Just then, a figure that could not be ignored approached them. "What are you doing?"

Hobart looked back, and his eyes were burning with anger. "Patrick, mind your own business!"

Feeling that Amelia was gently grabbing his sleeve, Patrick patted the back of her hand to comfort her and said to Hobart, "She's not willing. It's not good for you to do this."
