“You finished it?”

Rachel still felt clear–headed. She nodded. “Yeah. I think your wine tastes really good.”

Tyler lifted a hand to his forehead and laughed. “It is good wine, but the alcohol content is very high.

“Really?” Rachel picked up the bottle to check. “Doesn’t feel that strong to me.”

“You feel fine now. Give it another ten minutes, and you won’t be saying that.”

Rachel frowned. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

Tyler didn’t explain further. He rose from his chair.

“Go lie down for a while. I’ll head downstairs and talk to Wanda.”

“Didn’t Wanda already go to bed?”

“Doesn’t matter. She usually gets up around this time.”

Rachel didn’t press on and let him go.

On his way out, Tyler poured her a glass of water. Just then, Wanda came out of the bathroom. Seeing him startled her.

“Oh my goodness! Sir, you scared me! What is it? Are you hungry? Should I make you something to eat?”

“No need. Prepare some hangover soup.”

Wanda immediately asked, “Did Ms. Lloyd drink too much?”

“Yeah. It’s my fault for not paying attention.”

Wanda smiled.

“That’s fine. Drinking sometimes helps to set the mood. Nothing wrong with that at all.”

Tyler didn’t respond.

Wanda knew he wasn’t the type to play along with such remarks.

He poured some water and was about to head upstairs when Wanda stopped him again.

“Sir.”

Tyler turned around. “What is it?”
