Chapter 745
Tyler and Rachel ran outside, but Anne was already gone.
Rachel immediately took action.
“Here’s the plan. You go that way, I’ll go this way. We’ll split up. If either of us finds her, we’ll inform each other right away.”
Rachel was about to dash off to the right when Tyler yanked her back.
“No! You can’t go looking for her alone. What if something happens? It’s already dark.”
“Then what do we do? Even if you call the police now, they won’t file a report. A missing person has to be gone
for 24 hours.”
They couldn’t just stand there and watch Anne be missing for a whole day before doing anything.
Tyler turned to Yale. “You head that way alone. I’ll go this way with her. You’re a guy. You’re not going to just vanish, right?”
Yale nodded. “Yeah.”
He had known all along that once their Tyler fell in love, he’d be the type to care for no one else.
It wasn’t in the arrogant sense, but in that the only person in his eyes would be the one he cared for. At
moments like this, nothing and no one else seemed to matter as much.
Tyler grabbed Rachel’s hand. “Let’s go.”
At first, Tyler had tried calling Anne, but she had already blocked his number. Rachel tried from her own phone
and got the same result.
Rachel grew annoyed. “You really are something! You know what Anne’s like. She likes you so much that every
word you say, she’ll take to heart.”
Tyler had no excuse. He admitted his mistake outright. “I’ll apologize to her about this.”
Seeing how serious he was, Rachel didn’t press him any further.
Tyler suddenly leaned in close. The abruptness startled Rachel.

She glanced around quickly to see if Anne was anywhere nearby. She then asked, “What are you doing?”
“Rachel, you gave yourself away.” Tyler’s voice carried a hint of laughter.
Rachel froze, not immediately processing what he meant.
“What?”

The smile on Tyler’s face widened. “How did you know what I said to Anne at the bar? And how did you know
she took it seriously?”
Rachel’s eyes widened. She suddenly realized that Tyler had never known she had been at the bar. At most, she
had told him that she had gone out.
He hadn’t even asked yet, but she had basically confessed on her own.
Now, she couldn’t even look him in the eye. She wished the ground would just swallow her up. If there had been a brick nearby, she honestly would’ve whacked herself unconscious with it just to escape the embarrassment.
