The shareholders were probably still in the dark about this. If they found out, Rachel would certainly be in trouble; they’d surely kick up a huge fuss over this.
Rachel hadn’t thought so much about it, but now that Tyler mentioned it, she was beginning to realize how troublesome things might turn out to be.
“Let’s think about this next time. I don’t have the strength to care about them right now. I see that your public relations department has settled things. Now that you have these additional projects, your company should be able to tide over.”
“Yes, it should, but what about yours?”

Tyler crossed his arms and shot Rachel a look.
Rachel was stunned, then said nonchalantly, “We’ll see when the time comes. I’ll think of a way.”
Tyler’s gaze warmed as he looked at Rachel; he reached out to pull her into his arms.
“You used to think twice before acting. Why are you being so reckless now? Playing the heroine now, aren’t you?”
His voice was low and hoarse as his Adam’s apple bobbed up and down.
“I trust that if I face the same crisis someday, you’d help me without any hesitation, to the point of sacrificing LS,” Rachel said, filled with certainty.
She didn’t know why, but she simply had the feeling Tyler would surely do that.
Tyler smiled satisfactorily, his finger tracing her jawline as he planted a soft kiss on her lips. “Forget LS–I’ll give you my life.”
Rachel pursed her lips. “I don’t want your life. At most, you’ll just have to take care of me if I go bankrupt.”
Tyler thought that Rachel was just teasing.
Just then, Cecilia walked into the backyard, her face dark with displeasure.
“Pardon me. I really don’t want to interrupt, but William, Samantha, and Mr. Lewis are here.”
“What are they doing here?” Rachel said with furrowed brows.
Cecilia conveyed Thomas‘ message to Rachel. “He said that no matter what, the Lloyd and Lewis families were in–laws in the past and probably so in the future. It only makes sense for them to see
