William stepped forward to speak up for Samantha,

“It’s not nice of you to say that. Samantha didn’t say much from the start. Is it truly her fault?”

Tyler’s eyes narrowed, and he smirked sardonically at them. “William, do you really think this woman is that good? That she’s as pitiful and helpless as she pretends to be?”

William didn’t know where Tyler was going with this, but he answered honestly, “Samantha might have her faults, but she’s generally fine.”

“Is that so?” Tyler chuckled as though he had heard the most hilarious joke.

Samantha stood at the side, clenching her fists. Somehow, Tyler’s words were making her anxious.

To prevent him from scheming against her, she suddenly stopped crying and kicking up a fuss. She hurriedly approached William.

“William, this was my fault right from the start. It has nothing to do with Rachel. Forget it, let’s just

head in.”

Rachel crossed her arms and stood where she was. The familiar way Samantha was acting was a dead giveaway to Rachel that she was guilty about something.

She was kicking up such a huge fuss just seconds ago, insisting that William stood up for her and sought justice for her. Why did she change in a split second?

Samantha must be hiding something from William.

Rachel never took the time to look into the matter. Aside from stealing her husband, Samantha never did anything else to hurt her.

As long as Samantha didn’t provoke her, Rachel wouldn’t go causing trouble for her without rhyme

or reason.

Samantha tried to trap her in front of so many people; Rachel would be a fool if she continued tolerating her behavior.

Samantha pulled William away, but Rachel stopped them.

“Why are you in a rush to leave? Since you’re here to see my father off for the last time, you should

eat something before you go. Otherwise, my relatives might blame me for not being hospitable to my guests.”
