Hannah had sufficient evidence prepared and wasn’t afraid of Rachel escaping punishment.

She said calmly yet authoritatively, “So you don’t intend to compensate for damages?”

She slapped the thick pile of documents.

“The legal department has the statement of claim all prepared. Transfer of projects and defamation of corporate reputation–these two charges are enough to get you locked up for a few years.”

Rachel’s heart fell at the words on the documents. She knew where Hannah was going, and there was no point in talking any further.

She gripped the USB flash drive in her pocket so tightly, her knuckles turned white.

“Since you insist on being like this, don’t blame me for being nasty.”

Rachel turned to the computer next to the meeting table and inserted the USB flash drive.

The screen lit up, and a folder popped up, displaying a single video file.

Rachel clicked it open, and the scene of Hannah talking with a supplier at a private venue appeared. Her voice could be heard clearly.

“Push all the blame for the losses on Rachel. I’ve transferred thirty million to the account in that country. Fortunately, the project fell through. We can rid ourselves of that eyesore… I’ve asked the IT department to falsify the records. I’m sure no one will be able to detect anything.”

The meeting room went dead silent.

Hannah’s confident facade slipped off her face. She stood up so sharply, the chair slid away from her.

“Where did you get this video recording from?”

“If you don’t want anyone to find out what you did, don’t do it in the first place,” Rachel said as she closed the video and pulled out the USB flash drive.

“Hannah, embezzling company funds and falsifying evidence to frame your subordinate. If you are found guilty of these charges, I’m afraid you’ll get locked up earlier than me, not to mention lose your position as the CEO.”

The faces of her colleagues from the legal department turned pale, the files almost slipping out of

their hands.

Hannah glared at Rachel, her chest heaving as she gritted her teeth. “Good on you, Rachel Lloyd! Truly a deserving rival whom I fought tooth and nail with for this position.”

Rachel said indifferently, “I can’t be bothered to argue with you over this. I know it was wrong of me to transfer the projects without permission, and I came here to resolve the problem. Hannah exchanged glances with her colleagues from the legal department and composed herself for a few seconds before turning to look at Rachel.

“I can agree to that, but you’ll have to transfer the one hundred million dollars to the company in one week. If you don’t do so, someone else will hunt you down even if I don’t.”

Rachel hesitated for a moment before saying, “Alright, sure.”

Hannah sat back down in her chair and leaned back leisurely on it.

“Alright, I’ll await your good news.”

She knew about Rachel’s current situation. She probably couldn’t even fork out two hundred thousand dollars, not to mention one hundred million dollars.
