Chapter 885
“How about when the baby’s bom, I let you be his godfather?” Tyler suggested.
Xavier rolled his eyes. “Even if I hadn’t done you that favor, I’d still be your kid’s godfather.”
“Fine. Then dinner’s on me sometime. Or you tell me what you want. Just send me a message later.”
Even then, Tyler still couldn’t stop worrying about Rachel. His gaze kept drifting toward the hallway.
Xavier shook his head helplessly. “You’re hopeless. You’ve never even dated anyone before, and now she’s gone and stolen your soul.”
Tyler didn’t argue. He only patted Xavier on the shoulder. “You get back to work. I’m leaving.”
Xavier watched Tyler leave and smiled, shaking his head. He then returned to his office.
While walking toward Rachel, Tyler dialed Yale.
“Yale, send me a list of every project our company can possibly negotiate. Call a staff meeting this afternoon, and tell everyone we’ll be working overtime for the next week.”
Yale was stunned. “Mr. Hunt, why? Did something happen?”
He couldn’t figure it out. Tyler had gone to the hospital with Rachel for a check–up. How did this suddenly turn into work?
“Nothing’s wrong. Rachel’s pregnant. Tell Wanda to pay closer attention to her meals from now on.”
Yale froze.
“Mr. Hunt, you said Ms. Lloyd is pregnant? Really? That’s amazing! Congratulations! Soon, you’ll be a father! Should we tell your father? He’s still in the hospital. If he hears about her pregnancy, it’ll definitely lift his spirits.”
“Yeah. I’ll make time tonight to go see him.”
Tyler’s relationship with Thomas had been slowly improving recently.
“Alright, I’ll get on with your work arrangements right away. But Mr. Hunt, I think you should pace yourself. If you push too hard, it’ll take a toll on your health.”
Yale was worried; Tyler had finally started sleeping better lately thanks to Rachel, but now with this sudden increase in workload, his sleep schedule might get ruined again.
Tyler had already spotted Rachel up ahead. He cut Yale off quickly.
“I know what I’m doing.”
He hung up.
Yale could only hurry to carry out his orders.

Meanwhile, Rachel had just finished picking up her medication. When she turned around, she saw Tyler,
“Weren’t you supposed to still be with Dr. Jenkins? That was fast.”
“Didn’t feel like listening to him ramble. The older he gets, the more long–winded he is. He’s always going on about pointless things.”
“Consider yourself lucky. Having someone to nag you is a blessing. Look at me. I don’t even have anyone left to nag me anymore.”
For the first time, the realization struck Rachel that she didn’t have a single family member left.
