After getting into the car, Rachel pulled out her phone and called Tyler, but he didn’t answer the call. A bad feeling rose up in her chest.

She urged the driver, “Please drive faster. It’s an emergency.”

The car sped down the highway and finally arrived at Dingham Corporation.

“You’d have sold your company if I came a second later!” Rachel walked quickly to him, panting hard. “Didn’t we agree to discuss things before making any decision? Why did you sell your subsidiary company behind my back? The subsidiary company’s operations are closely tied to LS Enterprise. They are interdependent! I’m sure you know the risk of losing the subsidiary company.”

“We can always start a new subsidiary company. I’ll be left with nothing if anything happens to you.‘

Tyler caressed Rachel’s head as he spoke, not a tinge of regret over the loss of his subsidiary company. He knew clearly what was more important to him.

“I’ve raised a sum of two hundred million dollars. Don’t worry. Once we sign this, the money will be transferred to my account. You won’t be sued.”

Rachel grabbed his arm. “I can solve my own problems! I’d rather go to jail than to see you sell your company!”

Just then, someone opened the door to the meeting room.

An old man donning a black suit and gold–rimmed glasses walked in with a folder in hand. He approached Tyler and said with a bow, “It’s been a while, sir.”

“Jeeves?” Tyler asked with an arch of his brow. “What are you doing here?”

Jeeves shot him a smile before extending the folder toward him. “Your father wants me to pass you this.”

Jeeves handed Tyler a check.

“What’s the meaning of this?” Tyler asked, surprised.
