Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 782

Dan said, “Once we’re divorced, you can make as big a scene as you want, all right?”

Yvonne shot back, “Who the hell said I want to make a scene? Who do you think you are, anyway?”

As if she was some crazy ex-wife, always causing trouble. The way he said it made Yvonne’s blood boil.

Dan sighed, “Fine, fine. I’m nobody, just sign the papers.”

No matter what they talked about, it always circled back to signing those damn divorce papers.

Yvonne was seething, grinding her teeth so hard her jaw ached. She had half a mind to smack him, but at this point, she was too exhausted for a fight—and that just made her even angrier.

Back in the old days, if she was pissed at someone, she’d just punch the source of her rage, and the anger would ease right up. Not now. Now it just festered.

So instead, she did the next best thing—she bit him.

——

Outside, Chloe had gotten into a full-on brawl with Dan’s men.

Yvonne had only been inside the mansion for ten minutes when bodyguards started appearing from every direction. It was obvious—Yvonne had walked straight into a trap.

Worried sick, Chloe immediately called backup, but help wasn’t coming fast enough. Desperate, she pulled out her gun and started firing warning shots, sending the whole estate into chaos.

Carroll, seeing someone brazenly attacking their turf, didn’t hesitate—he went to grab his own shotgun, ready to put Chloe down.

But just as he cocked the weapon, Dan came down the stairs.

“Boss?”

Dan’s right cheek was swollen, and Carroll figured Yvonne must’ve punched him. That woman was something else—no lady-like manners at all. Seeing Dan like that only made Carroll more pissed; he was ready to take Chloe out for Yvonne’s sake.

But then he took a closer look…

That wasn’t a bruise from a punch. Those were perfect teeth marks—two clear rows.

Carroll gaped. “Uh…”

But right now, there were more pressing matters.

Just as Carroll turned to leave, Dan called out, “Wait.”

Carroll stopped, waiting for orders.

Dan said, “I want her alive.”

Carroll blinked. “Seriously? Isn’t that a bit much?”

Dan shot him an icy glare, and Carroll instantly fell in line. “Yes, boss.”

He left, gun in hand.

Dan gingerly touched the bite mark on his face, wincing. Things with Yvonne were already tense as hell. If her friend ended up dead at his hands, that woman would go nuclear.

Honestly, he was starting to be afraid of her.
