Veyo Solutions‘ project was progressing exceptionally well, and the cocktail party drew a good crowd.
Scandals aside, everyone knew the project’s value. Who would turn their back on future prospects and money?
If it weren’t for Cedric, they might have had reason to worry. But this time was different.
When Matt arrived at Veyo Solutions, he couldn’t help but comment, “Jayson really set you up with a top- tier operation here. With both of you managing, you don’t have to sweat the small stuff. He’ll handle everything.”
Nancy caught Matt’s meaning. He was saying that they worked well together and Jayson had truly thought things through for her.
“Jayson has set up the management team. Even if he doesn’t come by often, I’m not too worried.”
Matt glanced at her, his eyes flickering briefly before he smiled. “I heard you settled that penalty. How’d you manage it? Did you talk to Jayson about it?”
Nancy’s expression remained steady. “No, I don’t bother him with problems I can solve myself. Everything’s fine now.”
She didn’t elaborate.
In fact, Matt had heard some rumors. Gossip about the Westvale Gallery dispute had floated around.
But it was only 50 million dollars. He figured that wasn’t too serious for Nancy.
When Jayson came downstairs, he noticed that Frederick had already arrived.
Quite a few people had shown up today.
All permits and security for the cocktail party were well in place.
Frederick had been invited.
He had assumed that after his confession, Nancy might distance herself from him, so seeing things stay
normal was a relief.
Not long after, Ariel and Chad arrived by car.
After Nancy signed the papers today, things were basically wrapped up.
Upon entering, they spotted a group of people nearby. Jayson was chatting with a few others.
Nancy was the first to spot Ariel.
The real reason she had sent the invitation was to use this chance to meet Ariel again. Her lawyer had reached out before, but Ariel had flat–out refused every attempt to negotiate.
But now that Ariel was here…
Nancy didn’t overthink it and walked over to Ariel and had.
“Mr. Hockney.” Nancy nodded to Chad. The disaster at the art exhibition seemed largely behind her now.

Chad raised an eyebrow, admiring Nancy’s mindset. People who achieved big things really thought differently.
After a pause, Nancy turned to Ariel and called out slowly, “Ms. Walker.”
Ariel looked up at her. Nancy, wearing heels, still carried a quiet arrogance in her eyes. It was subtle yet unmistakable.
“Since you’ve graced us with your presence, Ms. Walker I think we could use this chance for a proper talk,” Nancy said casually while looking at Ariel.
Today’s cocktail party was a grand affair. It was partly to promote the project and partly to overshadow the art exhibition scandal, redirecting everyone’s attention to Veyo Solutions‘ highly valuable new venture.
The effect was definitely noticeable.
Ariel knew Nancy wanted to talk about the lawsuit and that she was most likely attempting to negotiate with her
But Nancy’s attitude…
She didn’t hide it. Looking at Ariel coolly, Nancy said, “Problems need solving. You can propose whatever terms you want.”
Ariel gave her a faint glance and a light chuckle. “Ms. Stanton, what could you possibly offer me to talk terms? What do you have that I care about?”
A sharp coldness flashed in Nancy’s eyes. Her expression darkened suddenly.
Almost at the same moment, Ariel caught sight of Jayson approaching from behind Nancy.
He just stared at her, his gaze steady and calm as it settled on her face. He had obviously caught her words.
Ariel didn’t flinch because she was implying Jayson as well since he belonged to Nancy.
Frederick and Matt, who were nearby, also overheard her answer.
Frederick instinctively opened his mouth to say something, but Matt grabbed his arm, smiling. “Mr. Swanson, Ariel is Jayson’s wife. Let’s not get involved.”
Frederick was confused. What did he mean?
Frederick’s face darkened. “Mr. Crosby, can’t you see Ariel shutting Ms. Stanton down? This is Ms. Stanton’s turf, and Ariel just talked like she owned the place.”

Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
