Chapter 645
Morgan’s eyes lit up at those words. Until now, he had assumed Jayson felt nothing for Ariel, but recent events had planted seeds of doubt in his mind. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have come up with the idea of getting Jayson’s help to boost the Sanderson family’s business.
Still, Morgan thought it inappropriate to suddenly raise the issue of the materials right then.
“If that’s truly how you feel, then Ari is a fortunate woman.” Morgan smiled. “Still, our family has been-”
Jayson nodded slowly. “Have you heard about the project in Guilmant that’s being funded by an overseas company? According to Bluum Corp’s assessment, the project will generate considerable revenue in the future. It’s a safe and solid venture. If you’re interested, I can put you in touch with the right people.”
Morgan immediately straightened. He knew that any project Jayson endorsed had to be exceptional. ” Wouldn’t that be too much trouble for you?”
“Of course not. After all, we’re in–laws.” Jayson glanced at him. “However…”
Morgan’s stomach tightened. He hated hearing that word. “Is there a problem?”
Jayson lowered his gaze, pouring himself another cup of tea without replying.
Arthur caught the cue and spoke in his stead. “Mr. Sanderson, you may not realize how many companies are vying for a place in that project. The requirements are strict–both in terms of scale and minimum investment.
“At present, your company… probably doesn’t meet the criteria.”
Morgan’s expression twisted. “Not even with Jayson’s recommendation? Couldn’t they show some
leniency?”
Arthur smiled faintly. “They’re an overseas corporation. Their rules and regulations leave little room for exceptions. It won’t be easy, and the odds are slim. Perhaps you should consider ways to expand your company’s scale first?”
“Expand the business scale?” Morgan thought bitterly. The only realistic path was to take out a loan since the Sanderson Group’s current funds were insufficient.
Jayson kept his gaze lowered, tracing the rim of his cup with one finger.
“Caution is wise, Mr. Sanderson. But in investments, success often requires grit and courage. Opportunities like this are rare. If you feel it isn’t right, we can always wait for the next one.”
By the time they finished, it was already evening, and Chad still hadn’t returned.
Janice insisted on staying the night at Ariel’s place, and Ariel had no choice but to relent.
But as soon as they stepped out of the elevator on Ariel’s floor, they saw Jayson waiting. He appeared to
have waited for quite some time.
He leaned against the wall, straightening when he heard the elevator doors open.
Since her pregnancy had been confirmed, Ariel’s eyes hardened at the sight of him. Her lips pressed into a thin line.
Jayson noticed her pallor and frowned, stepping toward her. “Why do you look so pale?”
Janice’s anger flared. She instantly thought of Ariel’s illness and how the abortion would only worsen her suffering. Her eyes brimmed red as she shoved Jayson back. “Don’t touch her! Do you have any idea how much pain and misery you’ve caused her?”

Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
