Samson returned to his usual self and strolled over casually. "You just got here?"
Ariel nodded while putting away the blueprints.
She thought that the fleeting look of complex emotion she had just seen on him was just an illusion because he was now smiling casually as always. His eyes reflected her features.
"You look a little worn out. Is the work here stressing you? Maybe you should take a breather. Elsie is assigned to help with a lot of your tasks. You can use her as much as you want. It'll also teach her a thing or two."
Ariel knew that, but she preferred to handle important matters herself. Of course, she wouldn't neglect guiding Elsie. She just prioritized what mattered most.
"I know. I will," she replied.
Then, she asked, "Is Yeager Group still giving you a hard time?"
She couldn't just act like nothing had happened. She had to check in at least.
Samson shrugged. "It's nothing serious. As you know, my mother's the CEO. They can't just kick me out of Yeager Group. Dealing with it might be a bit of a hassle, but I'm still young. A little pressure is what helps me grow tougher and stronger."
He didn't brag that it would be easy. He spoke his mind frankly. There was a genuine sincerity in his manner.
Ariel thought for a moment. "I can't help much with your company matters, but I remember the favor. I'll return it when Faye Tech has a good project later."
This was the most appropriate way she could think of. It didn't involve anything beyond a simple exchange.
Samson caught her meaning and smiled slightly. "That's not important. I'm not the type to beg for projects. Since this is my first time dealing with fighter jets, just a little guidance from you to help me avoid mistakes would be more than enough. What do you say?"
That was a simple request.
Ariel nodded. "Sure. Just ask if you need me."
After saying that, she moved to the other side of the workspace.
Samson watched her walk away. His expression remained neutral, but his eyes were deep.
He had learned that Ariel was pregnant from Cecilia, yet he hadn't shown a hint of reaction.
This baby sure didn't come at the right time.
Just then, his phone rang, and he answered.
Cecilia's voice was cool. "So, what's going on with you and Jayson? Has he been giving you trouble?"

Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
