Jonathan turned to Benny and asked, “Isn’t there a statement about giving up custody of the child?”

Irene cried out, “Jonathan, don’t. What if you regret it someday? If you sign this now, you’ll never have a chance to take it back.”

‘I won’t regret it,’ Jonathan said. He had promised Michael that he would never let him be separated from Teresa.
