Chapter 872
Michael scurried behind Jonathan. His big, adorable eyes were full of curiosity and a thirst for gossip. ‘Mr. Lime’s drunk. Is he gonna kiss Mom tout, he wondered. ‘Wow, there’s no way I’m missing this.
In her room, Teresa had just finished her shower and was doing her skincare routine when, out of nowhere, a pair of slender arms wrapped lightly around her waist. The mirror reflected a handsome, drunken face behind her.
“Honey, I’m back. I missed you so much,” Jonathan said, pressing a kiss to Teresa’s neck. He buried his face in the crook of her shoulder, biting and nibbling. Teresa quickly came to her senses and pushed him away.
“Jonathan, are you drunk aga-” Before Teresa could finish, Jonathan gave her a quick, gentle peck on the lips.
He cupped her face in his hands, just like he did when he kissed Michael. Then he planted a gentle kiss on her forehead, and one on each of her cheeks, one by one.
His actions were so tender, as if he were cherishing something precious and fragile. Teresa was completely sturned. Seeing Jonathan’s face leaning in again, she shoved him away with her hand.
“Stop your drunken antics and go take a shower,” she said.
“Then come with me,” he whined.
Jonathan bent down, his tall six–foot–three frame wrapping around Teresa as he clung to her like an overgrown child. He pouted, “Honey, can you help
me scrub my back, please?”
His body radiated such heat and strength that Teresa took a deep breath and, with a firm shove, pushed Jonathan straight into the bathroom.
As she turned around, she saw Michael peeking his head out of the door, looking inside. Teresa was momentarily taken aback, unsure of how long Michael had been watching them.
“Mom, this is so embarrassing. Jonathan is all yours now.” With that, Michael covered his face and dashed away.
Teresa was relieved.
The next morning, Jonathan woke up alone in the huge bed. He realized he was in Teresa’s room. He glanced down and saw he was bare–chested, with nothing but a pair of pants on.
Jonathan pressed a hand to his forehead, letting out a shaky breath. His head was pounding from all the booze last night. He only remembered forcing himself to make it home. Everything after that was a total blur.
“Mr. Daddy Lime, you’re up. Time for breakfast.” Michael burst into the room, giving Jonathan a knowing look.
Jonathan didn’t know what to say. It was the first time his son had ever looked at him like that. Michael leaned in close to Jonathan’s ear and whispered a few secret words.
Jonathan blinked, raising an eyebrow. “Really?”
‘Did I really kiss and cuddle Teresa last night?‘ Jonathan wondered, feeling a bit dazed.
Michael patted his chest proudly. “Of course, it’s true. I never lie. You kept calling her ‘Honey‘ all night.”
Jonathan was lost for words.
At the dining table, Teresa was already eating. Jonathan, freshly showered and looking refreshed, sat down and coughed a couple of times.
