Katrina’s eyes brimmed with tears as she remembered those shameful things. They were something Valena would never have done before.

“Yeah, I feel it too. Yalena’s just not the same anymore,” she told Eason, choking up. “Today, Yalena drank all the orange juice. But she’s always hated orange juice.

Eason’s expression didn’t budge, his face set in stone. Katrina stood nearby. She pleaded with a shaking voice, “Just give Yalena a chance. She’s wanted to get into management for ages.”

Yalena added, “Dad, I swear I won’t let you down. I’ll prove to you I’ve got what it takes.”

Eason took a deep breath. His gaze settled on Yalena. “Alright, I’ll trust you. I’ll give you this one shot. If you can land the Dharma contract, then I’ll consider letting you take over the company,” he said.

“Yes, Dad.” A sharp glint flashed in Yalena’s eyes. She couldn’t wait any longer. She had to seize this chance and make Eason willing to hand the company over to her.
