Chapter 891
Donald couldn’t take it anymore. “Jonathan and Teresa are back together, and she’s pregnant. Making things difficult will only cause trouble far Jonathan. Please let Jennifer go. I’ll apologize on her behalf.”
“Donald, stop. Don’t be her.” Jennifer, sitting on the chair in handcuffs, shouted, “Don’t waste your breath on people like her?
“See?” Irene said, “Even at the police station, Jennifer is so arrogant. What if I let her go and she hits me again?”
Teresa clenched her fists. She took a deep breath and was about to say something.
“Teresa, don’t you beg her either.” Jennifer had already seen through Teresa. She glared at Teresa and said, “Don’t give in to her, I’ll be fine. Don’t beg
her. It’s not worth it.”
Teresa’s eyes burned red. She glanced at Jennifer and said, “I’m not begging her.” Then she turned to Irene. “Do you want me to tell everyone what you
did?”
Irene panicked. “What do you mean?” She thought, ‘Could Teresa know about Jonathan’s dad’s death? No, that’s impossible.
Teresa said slowly, “Have you forgotten? When Jennifer resigned from the hospital, you hired some middle–aged women to beat her up in the parking
lot.”
Jennifer’s expression darkened instantly as if she wanted to tear Irene apart. She remembered that Teresa even hugged her and took a hit for her.
Irene argued, “What are you talking about? Do you have any proof?”
Teresa said, “It was on the day you took Mike away. You bragged about it to him. The next day, he asked me why you sent people to beat Jennifer. Do you! know how embarrassed I felt for you? I just told him he misheard.”
After saying this, Teresa saw Irene’s expression change dramatically.
Teresa took a deep breath. “I planned to act like this never happened. I didn’t even tell Jonathan because I didn’t want him to worry, but what have you done? How many dirty moves will you keep pulling?”
Irene completely broke down. Teresa had just called her out in public–right at the police station, with Donald watching.
Irene felt utterly humiliated. She cried and shouted, hitting Teresa. It’s all your fault. You took my son and my grandchild away from me. I hate you.”
Since they were at the police station, Irene didn’t actually dare to hurt Teresa. She was just putting on an act.
Even so, Teresa was done putting up with Irene.
She shoved Irene away impatiently and said, “Stop embarrassing yourself. Jennifer shouldn’t have hit you, and I’ll pay your medical bills. Just let her go, or we’ll hold you accountable for hiring people to assault her.”
Irene gritted her teeth. She had no choice but to back down this time, yet as someone much older, she felt extremely humiliated.
After thinking for a moment, she said, “Fine. Have Jennifer apologize to me, and I’ll let her go.”
Teresa said, “Shouldn’t you apologize to her first before we apologize to you?”
“Why should I apologize to her? That’s impossible!” Irene snapped.
“Well, if you’re not going to apologize, then neither are we. We’ll just pay your medical bills, and that’s it.” Teresa stayed calm.
Irene was furious. “How are you gonna pay my medical bills? Isn’t that all the money from my son you took?”
Teresa sneered and said, “I can cover your medical bills just fine.”

The two were at a deadlock when Jonathan called Teresa.
Teresa only briefly told him that she was at the police station and hung up.
Irene panicked at once, her lips trembling. “You did it on purpose, didn’t you? You deliberately told Jonathan you were at the police stalo ta zei –

Teresa said, “Why couldn’t I say I’m at the police station? I was just telling the truth. Besides, he’ll come to bail you out for that wfoot your wanti
Iréne was at a loss for words.
Not long after, Jonathan showed up with Benny right behind him. He strode over to Teresa, looking at her anxiously “Are you okay?”
Irene was about to explode. She thought, ‘Didn’t he see me? Come on, my face is still swollen. How could he just ignore me and care about Teresa?
“What am I supposed to do?” Irene collapsed to the floor and wailed, “She got away with hitting me. No, I can’t take it anymore.”
It was only then that Jonathan noticed Irene’s wounded face. He walked over and helped her up from the floor. “What happened to your face?”
“It was Jennifer,” Irene said.
“Jonathan, here’s the thing-” Donald explained the whole story, including how Irene had hired people to attack Jennifer.
Irene scolded Donald for taking someone else’s side over his own family. Then she launched into another performance. “I’ve been treated so unfairly by the women of the Johnston family. Why did they do this to me? Teresa, can’t you leave my son alone?”
