Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 300

Will shot his hand up like a kid in class and practically bounced over next to James.

“I got this one! Girls are honestly so easy to cheer up.”

He started ticking points off on his fingers, looking way too pleased with himself.

“First, you gotta act sincere. Buy her flowers. Roses, lilies, whatever—just make sure it’s a huge bouquet so she knows you mean it.”

“Second, bring her favorite dessert. Cake, bubble tea, anything sweet. Trust me, no girl can say no to treats.”

“Last step, grab her hand and look her in the eyes. Say ‘Sorry, it was my fault’ and promise you’ll never do it again. That’s it, she’ll forgive you for sure.”

Neal, who was driving, glanced at them in the rearview mirror and let out this dry, knowing laugh, the kind that only comes from years of experience.

“Will, that’s how you win over a college girl. A wife? That’s a whole different league.”

He cleared his throat, ready to drop some real knowledge.

“Flowers and desserts, that’s just the warm-up. You gotta make her feel good inside and out. That’s the only way it works.”

“So you take her to bed. Kiss her until she forgets why she was mad, then show her she’s the only one you want. Let her feel it, really know she’s the one for you. That’s what keeps a marriage strong.”

“You fight at night, make up by morning. After that, she won’t even remember what you argued about—she’ll just want to stick close to you all day.”

Will looked at Neal like he was some kind of superhero.

“Neal, you’re amazing! No wonder your wife had three sons for you and still looks at you like she’s in love! When I get a girlfriend, I’m coming straight to you for lessons.”

James, sitting by the window, had already turned away, pretending to watch the city lights flying by. In reality, he was quietly typing every word of Neal’s advice into his phone’s notes app, not missing a single detail.

That afternoon, Emmy went to Forward Technology.

Mountains of paperwork and a million meetings made her head spin. The hours just vanished.

She rubbed her temples, feeling the pressure building. The competition and grad school entrance exams were coming up fast.

Something had to give. She needed to step away from Forward Technology—soon.

She didn’t hesitate. She promoted a super competent director from inside the company to take over.

Now, she didn’t even need to run it by Juan. She could handle things herself.

She asked Danny to deliver the paperwork to HR at Starlight Corporation. Done and dusted.

To celebrate the new director—and to give Emmy a proper send-off—the whole Forward Technology team went out for dinner that night.

The private room was packed with laughter and noise. After a few drinks, half the team was tipsy.
