Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 476

Dean’s eyes snapped wide as he ducked to the side—just in time.

The metal tin of keys shot past his cheek and smashed against the wall behind him, bursting into pieces with a deafening crash. If he’d been a second slower, he’d probably be headed straight for the ICU.

That was the last straw. Dean lost it, swinging a hard kick right at Juan’s chest.

Suddenly the two of them were locked in a furious fight by the doorway, limbs tangled and voices raised.

“Dean!” Juan grabbed his collar, muscles tense and voice shaking with rage. “What the hell is wrong with you? How could you hurt Eve’s hand for Emmy’s stupid gold medal? You’re out of your mind! Let me beat some sense into you!”

He slammed his fist into Dean’s jaw, splitting his lip. Dean tasted blood, wiped his mouth, and swung back with a punch of his own.

“Look who’s talking about crazy!” Dean roared back. “You’re going to fight me over someone like Evelina? Open your damn eyes, Juan. Don’t let her play you for a fool!”

Inside, Evelina hugged herself, flinching at the chaos at the door. Her right hand was still wrapped tightly in gauze. She hadn’t broken any bones, but tomorrow she’d need two rounds of painkillers just to get through her competition. She couldn’t risk another accident.

She heard Dean’s voice, sharp and accusing—Don’t let that woman fool you—and her heart climbed right into her throat.

If he blurted out the truth, she was done for.

Panicked, Evelina dashed into the bedroom, grabbed the little red marriage certificate, and forced herself out into the hall.

“Dean! Juan and I are already married! We have our license. So stop interfering in our lives!”

The two men froze mid-swing.

Dean stared at the marriage certificate in disbelief, like he couldn’t process what he was seeing. Juan, on the other hand, went pale, instantly letting go of Dean and rushing to Evelina’s side.

“Eve,” he whispered, panic in his voice, “weren’t we going to keep this a secret?”

Juan’s heart was pounding out of his chest. His parents and grandfather had never approved of Evelina, but that day when she said she felt insecure and wanted to make it official, he’d gotten caught up in it and quietly took his household papers so they could get married. They’d promised it would just be between them.
