Echoes Of a Forsaken Heart (Natalia and Hamilton) novel Chapter 330

Hamilton frowned slightly.

"Your mother?"

Natalia nodded, "Mason once told me, keeping me in the company was just because I looked like someone he had a crush on. At that time, I doubted everything about him, so I just took it as his excuse. But now, I can't help thinking, did Mason know my mother? Was he approaching me from the beginning because of my mother?"

Hamilton's gaze flickered, "You suspect he brought you into the company just to harm your mother?"

The death of Natalia's mother was something both of them suspected Mason had a hand in.

But the investigation only reached their bodyguard and then halted.

The bodyguard never admitted to acting under the old man's orders, even when convicted, he didn't expose the old man.

There was no solid evidence against the old man.

And Mason was even more out of the question.

When Mason went to play chess with the old man, what they discussed remained a mystery to everyone.

Yet, despite the lack of solid evidence, both couldn't shake off the feeling that Mason was somehow involved in Natalia's mother's death.

Mason's actions were indeed suspicious.

Natalia nodded.

"Yes, but the only thing I can't figure out is, my mom had no connection with Mason at all. How could he go through such lengths..."

Mid-sentence, Natalia suddenly thought of something.

Her face went pale, and her grip on the spoon tightened unconsciously.

"What about Patrick? Hamilton, where's Patrick?"

Patrick had mentioned before that her mother was being hunted. Could that have been Mason?

Natalia's mind buzzed.

She was somewhat frightened by her own thoughts.

She had always believed her mother had no ties with Mason.

But she had forgotten, her mother had amnesia, lacking any memory before meeting Patrick.

Could it be possible that her mother knew Mason a long time ago?

If that were the case, then everything would make sense.

Mason chased after her mother, but Patrick saved her.

Then, he probably thought her mother was dead? So he never looked for her?

But later, because she resembled her mother, Mason saw her during a collaboration with Ronin.

So, Mason came to Silkwood City, is that it?

Natalia suddenly felt numb all over.

She stared blankly at Hamilton, her hand holding the spoon even trembling.

She suddenly became afraid.

Afraid it was really like this.

If it was really like this, then didn't that mean she brought harm to Tatiana?

Hamilton frowned and took her hand.

"Patrick is still in detention. What's wrong? You look terrible."

Natalia's lips were somewhat pale.

"I want to see him."

Hamilton frowned at her.

"Alright, I'll arrange it."

Natalia looked at the man in front of her, and after a while, she forced a smile.

"Thanks."

Hamilton frowned, his finger unconsciously caressing her pale cheek.

"What's on your mind? You look so troubled."

Natalia felt incredibly chaotic inside.

"Hamilton, I suddenly fear I might have inadvertently invited danger."

If it was indeed like this, she truly didn't know how to face Tatiana.

Hamilton frowned at her.

She sighed lightly.

Upon discovering the paternity test years ago, she had intended to confront Mason.

But such matters, once brought up, meant tearing their relationship apart.

She had never wanted to destroy her family.

But she had never intended to let that daughter off the hook!

Initially, she wanted to act three years ago.

But Natalia had gone abroad just then.

Three years later, when she had almost forgotten about her, Natalia returned.

Delilah was somewhat surprised to see Mrs. Joyner again.

After their conversation at Alfonso's birthday party seemed to vanish into thin air, she didn't expect Mrs. Joyner to reach out after three years.

"Mrs. Joyner, what brings you here?"

Mrs. Joyner chuckled softly.

"Delilah, how about we team up and take down Natalia?" she said, a playful yet cunning twinkle in her eye.

Delilah blinked in surprise, her gaze fixating on Mrs. Joyner with a mix of astonishment and curiosity.

She had only intended her words to stir the pot a little, to make Mrs. Joyner give Natalia a hard time.

After all, she knew better than anyone that there was nothing serious between Mason and Natalia. How could there be? Hamilton had always treasured Natalia like a precious jewel, guarding her closely. The thought of him allowing Natalia and Mason to have any sort of relationship was ludicrous.

But to hear Mrs. Joyner suggest they actually get rid of Natalia? That was a step far beyond.

"Mrs. Joyner, I must admit, your words have taken me aback," Delilah confessed.

Pain flickered in Mrs. Joyner's eyes as she faced Delilah.

"What? You think I'm not the type to lay a finger on Natalia?"

Delilah let out a laugh, a hint of skepticism in her voice. "If we're to be partners in crime, we ought to lay all our cards on the table, don't you think? Otherwise, how can I know if you're truly in this with me, or if you're just pulling my leg?"

Mrs. Joyner looked down, contemplation etched on her face. After a moment, she slid a document across the table toward Delilah.

"Does this reason suffice?" she said, her tone serious, revealing a paternity test that would change everything.
