The Ex-Husband's Apology (by Sebastian Grey) novel Chapter 13

Chapter13

“That’s nothing. That dress Catalina’s wearing is the newest Elie Saab couture. He gave it to her. It costs 100,000 dollars.”

Catalina listened, her hand resting on Brayan’s arm, her smile glowing.

“By the way, Brayan, I saw Ms. Griffin earlier,” Catalina said.

Brayan raised an eyebrow, knowing who she meant.

“She didn’t look dressed for an event like this. I figured she was here making a delivery or something…”

He didn’t say anything, so Catalina went on. “She’s still your wife, technically. Kind of sad, seeing her running deliveries just to get by.”

“That was her choice,” Brayan said coldly.

He didn’t look surprised at all. “No degree, no credentials, and spent years just being a housewife. What kind of job could Jennifer get?”

Just then, a wave of murmurs came.

“Hey, who is that gorgeous woman with Mr. Cruz? Does anyone know her?”

“No clue. Maybe some up–and–coming actress,” one replied

“Please. She’s way beyond those starlets,” another commented.

were pinned up in a stylish updo, with a sparkling black–and–white diamond hairpiece tucked in. It is the priciest piece from the Melody Series.

“Wow, looks like Ms. Griffin’s already landed herself a new sugar daddy. And I was worried about her…” Catalina said lightly.

His smile threw her off for a second, and his eyes were deep and clear like polished gemstones.

Standing this close, staring right at him, made her stomach tighten.

After a sneer, he added, “Playing hard to get? That’s a pretty cheap

move.

With that, he let go of her arm, handed her a Band–Aid, and walked into the restroom without looking back.

Jennifer didn’t even get the chance to explain. She hesitated, then used the Band–Aid.

The pain in her feet eased, but her frustration grew.

Back in the hall, Jennifer found herself zoning out at the buffet table. She had no idea how long she had been standing there.

Elise and Ally walked up beside her.

“Too many fancy dishes? Don’t know where to start?” one of them teased.
