The Ex-Husband's Apology (by Sebastian Grey) novel Chapter 77

Chapter 77

Lucille turned her head and saw the piano queen pendant displayed in a separate showcase.

“Oh, I see, you want that, right?”

Jennifer didn’t have time to stop it, Lucille had already swiped the card and bought the necklace, and she personally put it around Jennifer’s neck.

The piano queen pendant was dazzling with fiery colors, blinding people’s eyes.

I watched as my favorite diamond jewelry, which even Brayan couldn’t afford, was now worn by Jennifer. Catalina was itching with jealousy, but had to pretend that everything was fine.

Jennifer was totally clueless.

“Mrs. Mueller, this…”

“You haven’t had dinner yet, right? Let me treat you to a meal. What do you like to eat? I know a really delicious restaurant!”

Lucille dragged Jennifer onto the elevator.

Catalina and the others who stayed behind looked at each other in

confusion.

“It seems like… Jennifer has met a lot of important people following Mr. Manning!” Catalina whispered, while secretly watching Brayan’s reaction.

Brayan’s handsome face was as cold as ice, no warmth, no expression.

He didn’t seem angry, nor did he look at Jennifer differently.

Catalina breathed a sigh of relief.

“Let’s go eat!” she linked her arm with Brayan’s.

“Okay.” Brayan and Catalina walked ahead, their icy gaze not melting.

When Jennifer walked out of the mall, it was already completely dark outside.

The darker it got, the more colorful the city lights became.

She finally caught a break tonight.

Lucille was a black diamond VIP customer of VelvetRose, and also a loyal supporter of the Melody Series.

Only a few people knew that Jennifer was the designer of the Melody Series.

Three years ago, Jennifer and Lucille had met.

Lucille idolized the designer of the Melody Series and saw her as a

role model.

Because she was very close to Peter in private, and also a VIP client that Peter had to take care of, Peter begged Jennifer to meet with her.

Jennifer didn’t refuse and also asked the other party to keep her identity confidential after they met.

Lucille did it too.

Three years had passed since they last saw each other. Jennifer thought Lucille had forgotten about her, but to her surprise, Lucille’s warmth

Jennifer chuckled bitterly, thinking she was overthinking.

“If he gets drunk, just take him back, or call Jamie.”

Jennifer finished speaking and hung up the phone.

Less than three seconds later, the same phone number called again.

Still Ronan.

“Jennifer, please do me a favor, Brayan really wants to see you, no matter how we persuade him, he just won’t listen!”

Jennifer hung up the phone again.

Ronan called for the third time.

“You know Brayan’s temper, I don’t know what happened between you. two, but this time he got drunk because of you. He insisted on seeing you, only you can bring him back.”

The voice of Ronan coming from the receiver sounded more and more anxious, Jennifer’s hand holding the phone tighter and tighter.

Late at night.

The taxi stopped in front of Moon Club.

The lighting in the club was not great, and although the hallway wasn’t exactly narrow, some guests were standing in the hallway hugging scantily clad women.

This was Jennifer’s first time here.

She weaved through the small groups of guests, took her a while but finally found the private room Ronan had told her about.
