The Ex-Husband's Apology (by Sebastian Grey) novel Chapter 91

Chapter91

Jennifer came to the side of the black Maybach, but didn’t get in.

Brayan’s gaze fell on her face.

A very calm and composed look, wouldn’t make Jennifer think he was feeling sorry for her.

Jennifer turned her face away.

She knew she looked a mess now and didn’t want Brayan staring at

her.

Brayan took the initiative to open the passenger door.

Was this the first time Brayan opened the car door for her? Jennifer can’t remember.

“Are you pitying me?” Jennifer asked.

“You think I have nothing to do?”

Brayan got into the driver’s seat, so Jennifer had to sit in the car.

The car had been driving for a while when suddenly, Brayan spoke up,

“Did it hurt?”

Jennifer turned her head to look at Brayan, who was staring ahead, focused on driving.

This was the first time Brayan spoke to her while driving.

It definitely hurt on my face, the other person’s grip was quite strong.

But more than feeling pain, Jennifer felt more wronged.

She was not a meddler, but she always carried the label of a meddler on her back.

Brayan’s gaze had a bit more resentment in it.

If Brayan had been willing to publicly acknowledge that she was his legal wife, I bet no one in the company would have dared to gossip about her.

But Brayan couldn’t.

Jennifer felt a slight pain in her chest.

Now she actually expected Brayan to give her a status, how silly.

“Mr. LeBlanc, can this be considered a work–related injury?”

When Jennifer asked in a cold tone, Brayan just smiled.

“Sure.”

The black Maybach parked in the parking lot of Craway Medical Center.

Brayan and Jennifer got off the car.

Jennifer actually had a feeling that Brayan might be taking her to the hospital, but she didn’t expect it to be here.

Brayan took a step forward, but realized Jennifer didn’t follow.

He turned around and heard Jennifer say coldly,

“I didn’t want to go in.”

and pain relief medicine. But Brayan surprisingly gave her five days of paid sick leave, no need to deduct salary based on percentage.

She wouldn’t delude herself into thinking that Brayan cared about her.

Although her face was not swollen for more than five days, it’s better to give her some time off to calm down the public opinion in the

company.

When Jennifer came back to work, there were fewer people pointing fingers at her.

At first she was puzzled, but later she found out that Meredith had been fired.

With her education and experience in the company, the one who should have been fired was clearly her.

The resignation letter for Meredith was filled out by Brayan himself, and no one dared to say a word about it in the company.

Although they were curious about the relationship between Brayan and Jennifer, they kept a low profile at work to avoid getting involved.

Today, Catalina didn’t leave her office, which is very rare.

She used to work eight hours a day, but at least seven of those hours were spent in Brayan’s office.

Catalina locked her office door and buried herself in WhatsApp chat.

Jaxon’s profile picture always showed up on the first screen of her phone.

With less gossip around, Jennifer felt that her office environment was finally quiet, and her productivity increased significantly.
