Ex-Wife's Revenge (Alaricka) novel Chapter 120

Hospital hallway, Jaylene hesitated and said, “I checked, you really transferred a hundred thousand to my grandma’s account. I’ll treat it as a loan from you, and I’ll definitely pay you back in the future.”

Alarieka looked at her.

Before, the money Jaylene transferred to her was way more than a hundred thousand, and the help was even more.

Now, what did these hundred thousand amounts to.

Alarieka said softly, “No rush, let your grandma get better first. If you need money, just tell me, I still have some here.”

Jaylene looked at her, a little lost in thought: “Alarieka, I really wondered sometimes, why did you help me so much?”

Alarieka gave a playful wink, patted her on the shoulder, and whispered, “I watched the stars last night, guess what I saw?”

Jaylene got curious because of her. “See what?”

Alarieka whispered, “I saw that you would definitely be rich and powerful in the future, things would turn around for the better, and everyone would look up to you.”

Jaylene didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, pointed at herself and said, “Me? You’re overthinking it. No way. In the future, I could only run a street stall or do odd jobs. How could I ever get rich?”

Alarieka smiled meaningfully, “You totally could. I was just waiting to cling to your leg.”

FAR AUCTIO

Jaylene just thought she was joking and didn’t care.

Suddenly, Jaylene’s eyes lit up. “How about I go set up a street stall?”

Alaricka said, “Setting up a street stall? What did you want to sell?”

Jaylene’s eyes were bright: “Selling snacks, I set up at the school gate, there would definitely be a lot of students who’d come buy from me just because I’m a fellow student. I could make some money too. What do you think?”

Alarieka stroked her chin and thought, feeling like this idea was actually pretty good.

And I could set it up after school, the timing was just right.

“Did you have a cart? And those deep fryers?”

“Yeah, my grandma’s neighbor used to do this. She liked me a lot, so she would definitely be willing to lend it to me.”

Alarieka nodded, “Yeah, not bad.”

Jaylene grabbed her hand and said excitedly, “Do you want to come with me? I’ll share the profits with you and we can make money together!”

Jaylene was still full of fight and just took her straight to the wholesale market, bought some stuff you’d see at a barbecue stall.

That night, Alarieka called Tamika and said she was staying at a classmate’s place for the night.

Tamika didn’t think much about it, just told her to be careful and hung

Jaylene carefully put the veggie–wrapped tofu skins she’d just rolled into the hot oil, following the tutorial she found on her phone.

There was a sudden crackling sound, and the hot oil splattered everywhere.

Alaricka and Jaylene quickly dodged, “How did this happen? This is nothing like the tutorial. Why did it feel like it exploded?”

Alarieka braced herself and went over to turn off the rice cooker, “When water hits hot oil, this happens. Let’s drain the water first before putting it in.”

Jaylene Zheng nodded seriously, “Okay.”

This time, what happened before didn’t happen again.

They fried all the dishes, then made the dipping sauce following the instructions online.
