First Love Only? I Left Him First, Now the CEO Can't Let Go novel Chapter 246

Chapter 246: Chapter 246: Don’t Mess Up Her Face

"Don’t you know yet? Your studio is worthless and no one wants it, so I reluctantly took it over... Also, your parents’ clothing factory, rehabilitation center... I’ve acquired all of them at ten percent of the price. Oh, and your house at Riverside Manor, I’ve bought that too... So now, everything you own belongs to me."

As Serena spoke these words calmly, Claire couldn’t hold back her tears, crying so much that her makeup was ruined.

She never thought there would be a day she’d be looking up at Serena from the ground.

Nor did she ever imagine that one day Serena would look down on her from such a height.

Beside her, Lily and Owen hesitated upon hearing Serena’s words—deciding whether to help Claire or not—but now, they no longer hesitated.

Claire was originally considered middle class; her parents owned a factory and, thanks to Caleb’s influence, she started a rehabilitation center, earning quite a lot from it.

And now?

The factory became Serena’s; the rehabilitation center became Serena’s.

What’s left for Claire?

A pile of debt.

Lily and Owen exchanged a glance, a mutual understanding between them.

Hopefully, Claire wouldn’t cling to them for a loan!

"Lily, didn’t you say there’s something urgent at home?"

Owen gave Lily a signal.

"Oh right, yeah, Claire, we have to go now!"

Lily grabbed Owen and, in the blink of an eye, they left Claire in her studio which was being sealed off.

Serena crossed her arms and asked, knowing full well:

"Huh? Aren’t they your best friends? But now that you’re bankrupt, they won’t even help you get up from the ground?"

Claire was ashamed and angry:

"Serena, don’t get too smug! I, Claire, won’t fall down just like this. I still have Caleb — he loves me. The man you’ve obsessed over your whole life will always love me! Even if you can take everything from me, you can’t take Caleb!"

Seeing Claire still trying to provoke her with Caleb, Serena sniffed contemptuously.

"How naive to think Caleb would help you! If he really wanted to, you wouldn’t be bankrupt now, and he can barely manage his own affairs!"

Serena spoke, glancing at the designs in her hand.

These were all Claire’s designs.

Claire watched helplessly as Serena wiped her shoes with the designs she had painstakingly drawn, and then threw them all into the trash can.

"Serena!!"

Claire lunged at Serena but was stopped by a tall figure.

Ethan pushed Claire away, protecting Serena.

"You should have let me join you."

Serena knew Ethan wasn’t blaming her.

"I was afraid you’d be busy at work!"

Ethan smiled gently, his smile gracious and refined.

"Compared to you, work is nothing."

Serena found Ethan’s words cheesy but sincere.

"By the way, I saw the moving company’s truck has arrived, let them come up!"

"Okay."

Serena was well-prepared; she acquired Claire’s studio that day and moved her things in.

Claire could only watch from the side as Serena took over her space.

"Why haven’t you left yet?"

Just as Serena spoke, Ethan gave a signal to the security guards, who immediately escorted Claire out.

The city lights began to flicker, and traffic flowed like a river.

Claire walked alone on the wide road.

She now had nothing.

Company, house, car...

Even her parents said in anger they’d sever ties with her.

Claire walked along the straight road, looking at the endless path, feeling as if it mirrored her endless debt.

Suddenly, a van stopped in front of her.
