Rowan was still talking excitedly:

The words ‘kittens can replace Grandma Alexa‘ were like a needle stabbing into Isolde’s heart!

She looked at Rowan and held back the anger that was churning in her chest and said in a suppressed voice, “I don’t need it, you take it away.”

“Why?” Rowan frowned, disbelief written in his large eyes.

“Why don’t you want the kitty, Mommy? It’s a kitten I picked out carefully for you! It’s so cute, and Mommy

Doris said you’d love it, so why don’t you want it?”

“I just don’t like it, you take it away!” Isolde heaved violently, using all her strength to suppress her anger,

“Rowan, I repeat, take it away!”

Rowan’s mouth drops and he looks at Isolde, cradles the kennel in his arms, lowers his head and slowly turns

around.

Isolde looks at his lost back and closes her eyes hard.

Rowan took a few steps forward, the more he thought about it, the angrier he got, he suddenly turned around and yelled at Isolde, “Mom you’ve gone too far!”

Isolde was stunned and opened her eyes.

Isolde couldn’t believe it, and she stared at Rowan in disbelief.

Before today, she would never have imagined that the child she had raised with her heart and soul would one day accuse herself so vehemently.

It was only a few months, how did it…… become completely different?

Rowan yelled this, turned around and was about to run outside-

“Rowan!”

Vincent frowned and reached out to grab him.

The kennel in Rowan’s hand fell to the floor, and the little muppet inside shrieked and exploded in surprise.
