Chapter 59

It was already twelve noon when we returned to Moonlight Villa.

Isolde went straight to the kitchen to cook.

Rowan was in the living room tinkering with his new toy.

Isolde had just tied on her apron when the glass door to the kitchen was pulled open.

She turned around and saw Vincent walk in.

“Something wrong?”

Vincent scanned the ingredients on the kitchen counter and asked in a light voice, “Do you need help?”

“No.” Isolde turned her head and busied herself.

Vincent stood and watched.

After a moment, he turned and walked out.

Isolde turned on the faucet and took the vegetables out to wash them ……

Soon Vincent went and returned.

“Put it on.”

Isolde’s action of washing vegetables lurched, looking at the plastic gloves handed to her, wrinkling her eyebrows slightly.

“The burn on the back of your hand is just right, it’s better to wear gloves.”

“Mom! I want to sleep with you tonight!” Rowan said, “Don’t go out tonight, stay home with me, okay?”

At those words, Isolde put down her chopsticks.

Only after watching Rowan swallow what was in his mouth did Isolde speak.
