Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time (by Zora Pradeep) novel Chapter 124

Chapter 124

Chapter 124

After the call, Maggie returned to her work.

By 9 p.m., after a session of intense study, she felt much better.

At this moment, Johnny called.

“Want to go out for some fun?

Half an hour later, Maggie arrived at the bar.

Johnny came out to greet her and asked, “Want something to drink?”

Maggie paused and then said, “Sure, I’ll have a drink.”

Johnny looked at her closely. “Not in a good mood?”

“Much better now.

Johnny didn’t press her further and ordered a blue–colored, low–alcohol cocktail for her.

Maggie held the drink in her hand, sipping it slowly while listening to Johnny chat with his friends.

Neither she nor Johnny realized that someone was watching them from the bar upstairs.

Yves said, “So it’s her with Johnny.”

The man next to him followed his gaze and saw Maggie. He froze for a moment.

Yves noticed and chuckled. “Is she your type?”

His friend didn’t respond but asked, “Do you know her?

“Yes,” Yves replied. “This is the girl I told you about a few days ago–the one that Rex was interested in, but then suddenly lost

interest.”

His friend looked at Maggie and thought, although their bar wasn’t chaotic, Maggie had a calm and clean aura. Amid the flashing lights and booming music, she stood out, almost like she had accidentally wandered in from another world.

Johnny asked, “Want to go dance?”

Maggie didn’t know how to dance, but she was curious to try. “Okay.”

In the dance floor, with Johnny leading, they swayed to the music for about a minute. Maggie slowly adapted and relaxed, swaying her body lightly.

She had drunk a little and was slightly tipsy. Her face flushed prettily, her eyes sparkling with a glimmer of playfulness, adding a hint of charm that wasn’t there before.

Yves clicked his tongue. “Although Miss Miller doesn’t have that conquering allure like Miss Brown, she really exudes that pure, youthful beauty. She’s absolutely captivating!”

His friend didn’t reply.

At this moment, Maggie felt her phone vibrating.

She didn’t stop dancing, but took out her phone to check. After seeing the caller ID, she immediately stopped.

Johnny saw her expression change and leaned over to check. He froze. “It’s the teacher!”

Maggie and Johnny quickly left the dance floor.

As they were heading out, Maggie looked up and saw Yves and a handsome young man sitting next to him at the bar.

Maggie wasn’t familiar with Yves, so she quickly averted her gaze and left the bar with Johnny to answer the call. When she answered, her tone was hesitant. “Hello, Teacher…”

“Come pick me up tomorrow afternoon.”

Maggie was stunned. “Huh?”

Before she could respond, the call was already hung up.

Johnny quickly asked, “What did the teacher say?”

Maggie replied, “The teacher asked me to pick him up tomorrow afternoon.”

“Did he mention anything else? Or ask if I should come with you?”

Maggie shook her head.

Johnny glanced at his phone, realizing that Nolan hadn’t contacted him. He suddenly felt a little hurt. “The teacher is biased.”

In such a lively atmosphere at the bar, it was indeed easy to relax.

Maggie felt much better. She reached out and gently covered his chest. “Feeling better now?”

“No, I’ll feel better when you pay for tonight’s expenses.”

“Got it.”

When they entered, two men, both with commanding presences, were already seated.

Maggie paused, then answered, “I’m married.”

And almost divorced.

But facing Jordan and Reed, she didn’t feel comfortable revealing too much, so she left it at that.

Both Jordan and Reed seemed surprised.

But they weren’t ordinary people.

When Maggie mentioned her marriage, a flicker of emotion passed through her eyes, indicating that her marriage had some issues.

In other words, a divorce was likely.

Hmm, their son might still have a chance.

Chapter 124

Many prestigious young women were eager to enter the Hall and Hardin families.

In general, the daughters of ordinary wealthy families couldn’t even get into the Hall and Hardin families, let alone someone who had been married before.

But Maggie was different.

Maggie is truly talented.

With the technology that Cole currently possesses, in the next few years, the development of Cole will be unstoppable. Not to mention that in the future, Nolan’s position is highly likely to be taken over by Maggie.

In other words, Maggie’s future prospects are limitless.

What’s more, Maggie is still so young, yet has achieved so much and remains calm and graceful, with no trace of arrogance–something rare to find in young people.

The more they looked at her, the more they liked her.

As they were speaking, Nolan finally raised his head and cast them a cold, sharp glance.
