Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time (by Zora Pradeep) novel Chapter 99

Chapter 99

“But I don’t have an invitation

Jessica hesitated for a moment. “The invitations for this auction were sent out half a month ago. It’s not easy to get one now, but if you want.”

Her meaning was clear.

was suggesting that Maggie ask Franklin for help.

Around 9 p.m., after parting with Jessica, Maggie finally returned to Franklin’s villa.

When she arrived, she found that Franklin was already home, working in the study.

Maggie knew he didn’t like her getting close to his study, so she stayed in the bedroom, reading a book while waiting for him.

Around 1 a.m., Franklin finally returned to the room.

Seeing him enter, Maggie put down her book and looked at him. Franklin noticed her gaze and calmly asked, “Is there

something?”

Maggie didn’t beat around the bush and directly said, “I heard there’s a charity auction in two days—”

Franklin elegantly took off his tie and, hearing her, glanced at her and said, “You want an invitation to the auction?”

“Yes,” Maggie replied.

“Got it.”

He said that and turned to head to the closet. A short while later, he went to the bathroom to shower.

Maggie was a little surprised by how readily he agreed.

But since he had agreed, she was reassured.

It was getting late, so she put down her book and lay down in bed. Franklin was still in the bathroom, and she quickly fell

asleep.

Because the auction was in two days, the following evening, after leaving Cole, Maggie still returned to the villa.

When she got there, Franklin was not at home, but Isabella was.

When Isabella saw her, she clung to her and begged her to make her something delicious.

Maggie agreed.

After dinner, the butler came to find her, saying, “Madam, someone just dropped this off for you.”

Maggie opened the package.

The beauty of the fireworks was evident, but even more apparent was Julia’s joyful expression. She was smiling sweetly because she was with Franklin.

Franklin hadn’t come back because he was out on a date with Julia, and he hadn’t even brought Franklin.

Maggie looked at the message calmly, though she couldn’t help but feel a little puzzled. She sent Jessica a message back.

Did you follow Julia?]

Otherwise, how would she have a screenshot from Julia’s posts?

[I have a friend who knows her. She mentioned it, so I asked her to send me a screenshot.]

What Jessica didn’t mention was that her friend was now deeply envious of Julia.

Because almost everyone in their circle knew that Julia had hooked up with Franklin, and that Franklin loved her dearly, treating her like a treasure.

Thinking about the extra invitation she had, Maggie sent another message to Jessica, asking if she wanted to go to the auction

tomorrow.

Jessica immediately excitedly agreed: “Yes, we must go!”

That evening, Franklin didn’t come home. Maggie had already guessed this.

After all, he was out on a date with Julia. After attending the fireworks festival, they would probably have a more wonderful and sweet night together.
