Chapter 420
Athena’s eyes couldn’t help but heat up as she looked at the scene before her.
Kurtis’s hair was gray, but he looked ten years younger in his armor.
He stood in front of Athena and comforted her, “I have been through thick and thin, and have almost died once. Why would I be afraid of death? Not only me, but even your three uncles are your support.”
Her eldest uncle, Richter Perkins, stepped forward and raised the bow and arrow in his hand, lifting his chin at Athena, “In the past few years in the Northwest, I haven’t wasted my martial arts skills. Apart from working, I’ve been practicing archery. My archery skill is not a boast.”
He raised his arm, revealing his muscles to prove to Athena that he could protect her.
Her aunt, Claudia Perkins, glared at him and said to Athena, “Although I can’t fight in wars, I’ve also learned some boxing and martial arts skills over the years. I can still kill a few rebel soldiers.”
Only then did Athena realize that Claudia was dressed in short, capable attire.
Freya smiled embarrassedly, “I can too.”
Her second uncle, Julius, had difficulty walking.
Although he was sitting in a wheelchair, his eyes were firm, “Athena, don’t be afraid. I will protect you even if it costs my life.”
Julius’s knees were completely necrotic, and Athena had tried to heal his legs, but failed.
This was the biggest regret in her heart.
“Julius can lead and command. With him here, you can rest assured.” Kurtis said with relief.
Julius was his pride. He was good at arranging troops. With him, there would be no chaos.
The third uncle, Trevor Perkins, was full of hostility; he stuck the big knife on his shoulder on the ground, and his voice was rough. “I have been waiting for this day for too long.”
He dreamed of killing into the Imperial City to avenge the Perkins family.
But Kurtis often advised him not to be impulsive.
For the Perkins family, he had endured this for five years.
Alexandra’s eyes gleamed as she looked at these faces, and said to Athena. “Athena, look, our reinforcements are much more than we thought, this battle may not be without a chance of winning.”
Alexandra raised her chin at Kurtis. “Kurtis, what are you still waiting for? If you wait any longer, Natasha will
take all the credit.”

Chapter 420
“Kurtis, let’s race and see who can touch the gate of the Heaven Hall first.”
Kurtis snorted and said proudly, “Alexandra, don’t cry if you lose.”
Alexandra said, “Stop talking nonsense. I’m afraid you old thing will hold me back.”
As soon as Alexandra finished speaking, she kicked the spear, leaped up nimbly, and sat firmly on the horse’s back.
Everyone was surprised by such smooth movements.
Even Athena widened her eyes.
Alexandra smiled triumphantly and said, “What? Did you think I only know how to enjoy life? Don’t forget that I also came from a military family.”
That bold tone really inspired everyone.
“Alexandra is mighty!”
Alexandra pulled the reins and shouted to the soldiers, “Bring an advance team and follow this old woman to sneak into the Imperial City and catch them off guard.”
The soldiers waved their weapons and shouted, “We pledge our lives to follow Alexandra.”
The shouts shook the sky, and morale was high.
Even Michael was moved to the point of tears. He respectfully cupped one hand in the other before Alexandra and bowed ninety degrees. “Alexandra is righteous. I am ashamed of myself.”
Alexandra twirled the spear in her hand, reined in her horse, and ordered Michael. “I order you to protect Mrs. Cavendish.”
“I will certainly live up to Alexandra’s and Prince Xander’s expectations,” Michael said respectfully.
Then he stepped aside, and Alexandra led a small team out of the mansion.
“Farewell, Alexandra.” Athena’s eyes were filled with tears as she watched Alexandra’s figure gradually disappear before her eyes.
“Jessa,” she called out.
Soon, Jessa arrived. Athena said to her, “No matter what, you must bring Alexandra back safely.”
Jessa frowned and looked at Athena worriedly, “What about you?”
Athena’s voice was firm, “I’ll be fine. Ray won’t let anything happen to me. Since he started this, we’ll drag him
down.”
Michael could tell from Athena’s tone that she seemed to have everything under control.

Chapter 420
He was vaguely worried. “Athena, what exactly are you planning to do?”
“I’m going to make sure Ray pays the price!” Athena’s voice was fierce.
She had been soft–hearted towards Ray again and again.
But the end result was devastation, and Ray had become a sinner.
Michael followed Athena closely. “I’ll go with you.”
But Athena slowly shook her head. “Michael, you should go where you need to go. The King is still waiting for us to save him. How can we indulge in such sentimentalities?”
Her words made Michael blush slightly.
He admitted that he still had feelings for Athena, but at this time, Athena’s righteousness made him feel
ashamed.
Michael straightened his expression and nodded to Athena. “Be careful in everything.”
Then, under Athena’s gaze, he also flipped onto his horse and rushed out with a team.
Kurtis laughed and said, “That’s great.”
He winked at his two sons, and the three of them turned into a silver shadow, quickly disappearing into the secret passage entrance leading to the Imperial City.
Athena’s throat was a little tight. She also flipped onto her horse and smiled at Julius, “Julius, we’re leaving. Take the drums as the signal.”
She had already explained the entire battle plan to them.
Julius commanded this operation, using the drums as the signal.
He nodded to Athena and said, “Be careful.”
Athena led the team and rushed out of the palace.
