Chapter 124

I reached for the progress bar, but Sable grabbed my wrist.

My heart leaped. The contact sent electricity shooting through my arm. I started to bring her hand to my lips, but she yanked away.

“Keep watching.”

I nodded. “Yes, boss.”

The video continued. Blair positioned herself on top of me, trying desperately to have sex with me. She attempted to guide my cock into her, but nothing happened. I remained completely unresponsive.

Sable shot me a glare that could have melted steel. I raised both hands in surrender.

“If you want to hit me or do anything else, that’s fine,” I said. “I won’t even look if it makes you angry.”

“You will keep watching,” she commanded.

Blair gave up her attempts and climbed off me in obvious frustration. What followed made my stomach turn. She began touching herself while looking at my unconscious form.

Sable’s face went green. She fast-forwarded through that section until Blair finished, then watched as Blair began pinching and scratching the inside of her own thighs to create bruises that would look like marks from rough sex.

After that, Blair curled up against my side and went to sleep.

The timestamp jumped to early morning. Blair woke before dawn and disappeared into the bathroom. She returned with wet hair and a flushed face, having clearly splashed water on herself to simulate post-sex sweat.

She carefully positioned my arm around her waist, then picked up her phone.

“Perfect,” Blair said to herself as she snapped photos. A cold smile crossed her face as she reviewed the images. “Sable will be heartbroken when she sees these. Then she’ll leave you.”

The video ended.

Sable stared at the blank screen, her mouth slightly open. “Umm… you were drugged. You two really didn’t…”

Her voice had softened, but confusion still clouded her features.

I watched Sable’s face carefully as she struggled with the evidence before her. Her eyes darted between the photos and me, caught between what she’d seen and what she wanted to believe.

“Just admit it, Caelan,” she demanded. “Even if you didn’t sleep with her, why did you lie to me? You said you were on a business trip, but you were secretly meeting Blair.”

“If you’re innocent, why couldn’t you just tell me the truth from the beginning?” Her voice cracked slightly, betraying the hurt beneath her anger.

I leaned forward, keeping my voice steady. “Because I had a secret plan to gather evidence of Blair’s crimes.”

started reviewing everything that’s happened, and too many coincidences pointed to her.”

“So what, you decided to play detective? Sable’s eyebrows shot up.

“I created a plan using the family visiting day at her treatment center as cover.” I met her gaze directly. “Blair is cunning. Edward couldn’t find concrete evidence of her crimes. I went to the center with Edward and three warriors, but Blair had no idea they were with me.”

Sable’s expression shifted slightly. “You brought backup?”

“I pretended to care about her treatment progress, but my real goal was to get close enough to gather evidence.” I stood up, pacing the room as the memories flooded back. “Yesterday afternoon, when Blair showed me her room, I installed a hidden camera while she wasn’t looking.”

“You what?” Sable uncrossed her arms, leaning forward.

“I had a feeling if she was really behind everything, she’d make a move. I needed to be prepared.” I stopped pacing, turning to face her. “Sure enough, through the camera, I saw her take out a secret phone she’d been hiding.”

“I planned to retrieve it after dinner as evidence.” My jaw tightened. “But I didn’t expect her to drug my drink. That completely derailed my plan.”

Sable’s face hardened again. “Why keep this from me? Why not tell me what you were doing?”

“Because you wouldn’t have let me go,” I replied frankly. “With your personality, you would’ve either stopped me or insisted on coming along.”

“So?”

“So that would’ve tipped her off. Blair would’ve noticed something was wrong.” I sat down beside her. “I needed to act alone to gain her trust and collect evidence. If she’d suspected I was investigating her, she would ve destroyed everything. We’d never catch her.”

I rubbed my temples, exhaling slowly. “I planned to tell you everything after I had solid proof.”

Sable’s shoulders slumped slightly, but suspicion still clouded her features. “Even if this plan of yours is real, it all sounds too convenient. How can you be sure Blair is guilty? Maybe it’s just your suspicion.”

She stood up, creating distance between us. “And even if she drugged you, that doesn’t prove she orchestrated everything else.”

“I understand your doubts,” I said quietly. “But I have more evidence proving Blair and Lucian planned a series of attacks against

you.”

Her eyebrow arched skeptically.

I reached for my bag and pulled out a phone in an evidence bag. “This is Blair’s secret phone. Edward’s technical team has already decrypted all the information.”

Sable eyed the phone warily as I pulled up the first set of files.

“Remember that man in black who attacked you near the bar?” I turned the screen toward her, showing transfer records and chat logs. “Here’s proof of Blair transferring money to him the day before the attack.”

Sable leaned closer, her eyes scanning the evidence.

“The man had a terminal illness. Blair exploited his desire to leave money for his family.” I swiped to the next screen. “He took the money, attacked you following Blair’s instructions, then committed suicide.”

Sable’s face remained surprisingly calm. I’m not shocked. I suspected Blair from the beginning. She always hated me.”

I nodded, pulling up another set of files. Then there’s the aphrodisiac incident at Daisy’s birthday party.”

I showed her more chat logs. “Blair hired someone to inject you with the aphrodisiac. Her goal was to have you gang-raped.”

Sable gasped, her hand flying to her mouth.

“The person said they received an anonymous package and a large sum of money. It was all Blair’s arrangement.” I took a steadying breath. “She never expected I’d be drugged instead, ruining her plan.”
