Caelan cupped my face in his hands, his eyes swimming with emotion, his voice trembling with feeling:

He paused, taking a deep breath, his voice growing stronger:

He touched the snake-shaped ring on his left hand, his gaze becoming profound:

“Many people have wondered why I always wear this snake ring. Today, I want to tell everyone its true meaning.”

He removed the ring and held it up for all to see:

“This snake’s shape represents the letter S… S for Sable. I had this ring made years ago when I first realized I loved Sable.”

He slipped the ring back on and kissed my hand. “Today, before God and everyone here, I promise to spend my life protecting you, cherishing you, loving you. Gasps and sighs rippled through the crowd as many guests wiped away tears, deeply moved by this romantic revelation.

Then Caelan gently pulled me into his arms, kissing my neck softly before extending his canines and biting down, officially marking

me as his mate.
