Genetic Ascension novel Chapter 1510

[Bonus thanks to Bryson_Clark <3]

It was a familiar feeling, one of inadequacy matched with a desire to fuck everything in sight. A belly full of lust raged in Sylas' lower belly, but it was overwhelmed by the distinct feeling that it just... Wasn't enough.

Sylas knew why this feeling was there. It was because the impurities of his life as a D- Grade were still very much there. Unless he could expel them like he had when he used the Duchess’ body, he wouldn't be able to unearth the full potential of a C-Grade Human Simioid.

However, he had already promised Cassarae he wouldn't use that same method anymore, and he wasn't the sort to go back on his word. Since he had said it, he would follow it.

Sylas had a few potential solutions in mind, but none of them were perfect.

One was to more fully rely on the Gluttony Seed. He had begun to explore some of the effects of the Gluttony Seed back in that Demon Dungeon. Since he also needed to raise his Gluttony Seed control quickly, lest he end up being devoured by the little girl, this was a viable approach to take without a doubt.

He also had thoughts of leaning on his Lust Seed again, just with Cassarae alone. Cassarae was no Demon, but her connection to the Legendary System was... interesting. It was especially interesting that her Class was so unlucky that it had a great deal of boosts and options for raising her Luck.

Luck was ultimately Potential in a lot of ways, and Potential was even deeper than Race Quintessence. That was to say that if Sylas had the time to understand Cassarae's Executioner Class a bit more, it might be the key to all of this.

Especially since he had raised it to a Legendary standard.

Given the fact Cassarae's last challenge was literally against a system itself, the rewards she had gotten for it should have been truly shocking. Sylas highly doubted that the foundation of her Class could be any better than it was.

With the Lust Seed as the intertwining mesh between the two of them, relying on Cassarae's Class’ influence on her own Potential had, well... potential.

Either way, Sylas still had time to figure it out.

Even if he hadn't promised Cassarae such a thing, it wasn't as though he had another Duchess right in front of him to bend over. It would probably cause him a great deal of difficulty to find another. ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ꜰʀᴏᴍ n0velfire.net

Although entering the E-Grade level of the Golden Grove's secret realm was possible... Sylas wasn't a fool.

His actions on the F-Grade level had awakened the true blood of the Duchess. On the E- Grade level, she would be a true monster, while he was still in the F-tier.

There was no way he could defeat her there right now, and the plan he had kickstarted on the F-Grade level wasn't a surefire guarantee. He couldn't risk his life on that just yet, even disregarding his promise to Cassarae.

That said, there was one solution that Sylas could use right now.

The Legendary Luck Gene.

The knight was illusory. Silver was its main color, but a rainbow of them surged as colorful undertones, radiating out almost like a crystal.

Sylas squinted, feeling like his Will was being burned away like a drop of water on concrete. The sun beamed down, charting him and causing him to practically emit his own Will like steam.

This steam was emerald, and he felt that the rainbow colors of the silvery armor were radiating out and matching with it.

Even now, Sylas found himself feeling confused and dazed, as though the very same mist was floating over his consciousness. Half of him seemed to realize that he should have been unconscious for this experience, but he wasn't, a part of him still holding on. The rainbow colors began to meld into his Will, changing it, morphing it.

And then came a tremor.

The daze in Sylas' eyes suddenly disappeared, his eyes sharpening. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

The knight's figure solidified in his eyes, but ironically enough, this made it even more illusory to his gaze.

"Piss off," Sylas growled.
