Fermin shouted at the door, "Send teams to lock down school zones. Grab anyone sketchy."

"Yes, sir," Verna replied.

Debra's gut twisted. She squeezed Marion's hand. "Did Jordan go check on Lillian and Solomon?"

"I told him to," he said.

"Tell the school to beef up security," she added. "Screen every snack those vendors sell. No slip-ups."

"Lillian's not that clueless," Marion reassured her. "Relax."

Debra wasn't overreacting. Lillian grew up spoiled.

Marion's hardcore training was just playtime for her. She could fight but had never faced real evil.

If the Illuminati's leftovers came after her, Debra had to keep her safe.

Marion's phone buzzed. It was Randy calling.

"Really?" Debra was skeptical. "They're that weak?"

"They suck." He cracked the IP address in no time and sent it over. "They're in Seamar City. We've got all the merchant data there. Tell Jordan to dig into the archives. We can nab the guy in a day."

Debra ended the call and turned back to Fermin. "Same enemy? If they're so weak, how did the powder spread so fast?"

Fermin looked up. "Two possibilities. It's a small-time crew just chasing cash, but they'd need trade smarts. They must be backed by merchants, have a knack for moving drugs, and have access to the Illuminati's old contacts. Or, this site is just a decoy. They don't care if it flops."

Debra prayed it was the first. The second spelled trouble.
