Chasing His Wolfless Luna Back (Rayna Quinn) novel Chapter 244

Chapter 250

Sebastian’s POV

“You’ve got to give me something, Graves… anything at this point.” I worked hard to keep my tone level, fighting the urge to explode.

This whole situation was frustrating as fuck. We still hadn’t found who was behind Thea’s attack. The uncertainty was eating away at my sanity. That bastard was still out there, walking free like he hadn’t tried to hurt the woman I loved.

Every time Thea or I left the house, worry consumed me. I couldn’t stop those crazy thoughts: What if someone hurt her while she was home alone? What if someone

attacked her when she was out?

Despite having my best guards watching over her, and Graves arranging his men to

monitor and protect her too, I still couldn’t shake the anxiety, especially given what happened last time.

“You’re not the only one frustrated with this fucking situation,” Graves snapped, his irritation clear in his voice. “But I’ve tried everything to find this guy and come up with

jack shit. I can’t even find a trace of the car they used.”

I frowned, considering his words. Normally I would’ve snapped back, but his statement

distracted me.

“That’s impossible, isn’t it? How can there be no record or evidence of the car?” I asked.

“Unless those fuckers burned it afterward.”

It was the only explanation that made sense. We’d been working closely together, but no

leads pointed in the right direction. My men couldn’t find anything, and neither could his.

The police weren’t making any headway on the case either.

“That’s what I’m thinking too,” he replied coldly.

I wasn’t a man who scared easily, but the current situation was unsettling as hell.

“So what do we do now?” he asked after a moment of silence.

“Can’t you just have someone look it up? I’m sure your men wouldn’t take long to find whatever address you want.”

Men with position and influence like us can always get what we want. Finding information doesn’t even require much digging. Which made me more curious about why he was asking me.

“Yes, but I want to do this right. She’s my mate, Sebastian. I felt it the moment I saw her at the hospital,” he admitted, his voice suddenly less guarded. “My wolf’s been going crazy since then. But somehow, I don’t think Sophia would appreciate someone digging into her life out of nowhere.” He exhaled deeply, like battling his instincts. “This is the better course of action. If I show up at her door and she asks how I got her address, I can just say you gave it to me since she’s friends with Thea.”

“Are you serious? You want Thea to castrate me? Especially if she finds out you’re the fucking underground king in these parts. This shit isn’t right.” I stood up, growling.

Chapter 250

I was pretty damn sure Sophia would tell Iris… and while Thea might not remember much about Graves, Iris would definitely fill her in, because that she–wolf didn’t know how to keep a secret to save her life.

“That’s rich coming from a man who’s still deceiving Thea into believing you’re still happily married,” he mocked, then hung up. That hit too close to home.

Sighing, I looked around my office, wondering why the hell I was still here so late. Graves was right; I was a fucking hypocrite talking about right and wrong when I was still lying to Thea.
