"Another core?" Xiang Yu spoke up in surprise as his body continued drawing in even more qi from the surroundings, wanting to fill this second core that had just formed.

His expression brightened as understanding dawned on him.

"That’s right, a beast core," he thought to himself.

Since he was technically a beast, it made sense that he would develop a beast core.

Still, something felt strange about having two cores at the same time. One would expect that if he really was a beast, his original core would have formed as a beast core from the beginning, not grow a new one alongside it.
