Chapter 350: Save The World [PART 2]

Tianling’s eyes glowed as her future sight activated.

She saw it clearly, Li Yao would appear behind her in exactly three seconds, sword aimed at her spine, while Xiang Yu would attack from the front with his signature void palm before instantly changing it to a sword strike at the last second. She smiled, simple enough.

Tianling spun around just as Li Yao was about to materialize, preparing to catch the incoming sword with her bare hand. At the same time, she extended her other arm backward to block Xiang Yu’s strike.

But her hand grasped the empty void.

"Huh?"

Li Yao wasn’t there.

Instead, the real attack came from directly above, both Li Yao and Xiang Yu diving down together, their weapons ready. Tianling’s eyes widened in shock as she barely managed to dodge.

Li Yao created space where she had been standing and instantly froze it, Xiang Yu then followed up by smashing the frozen space with his void palm.

"What the hell?" she muttered in confusion.

Her future sight activated once again. This time she saw the next sequence perfectly, Xiang Yu would feint left while Li Yao attacked from the right, then Xiang Yu would exert control over the void domain to switch their positions mid-combat.

Tianling positioned herself to counter exactly what she had seen. She turned to face Li Yao’s incoming attack from the right, preparing to grab her sword again.

But Li Yao came from the left instead.

And Xiang Yu struck from behind.

Tianling barely managed to twist away, their attacks passing so close that they cut strands of her hair.

"This is impossible," she whispered, staring at her hands. Her future sight had never failed her before.

She tried once more, pouring more power into it. Although the future sight ability was a passive one, she could always enhance it using her understanding of time, this time surely...

This time, Li Yao would thrust straight forward while Xiang Yu would sweep low. She could see every detail, every muscle movement.

Tianling prepared her counter, ready to leap over Xiang Yu’s sweep and catch Li Yao’s thrust.

Instead, Li Yao came in with a horizontal slash while Xiang Yu attacked from above.

Tianling’s heart raced as she dodged. Although dealing with these two wasn’t exactly difficult, her senses were really being messed up when she expected one thing and got the other. In this kind of battle, her future sight was actually becoming a liability.

"Senior brother!" Li Yao called out, instantly stopping her attack to catch him. Both of them were thrown backward by the force.

"Chaos?" Tianling mumbled, her eyes widening in understanding.

She raised her hand, golden energy beginning to swirl around her fingers. "I see how it is now. To think that you’d have such great understanding of chaos."

The chaos law focused heavily on randomness and interfered with probability. That’s why her predictions weren’t coming true, chaos was disrupting the future she was trying to read.

"Well, no matter," she thought to herself. "Now that I’ve figured out the problem, it won’t be the same anymore."

Although she couldn’t use the time law directly due to her lack of immortal energy, she could still use the time domain. The golden energy in her hand grew brighter as she waved it forward.

The time domain began expanding within the void. She felt the void hungrily devouring the time energy she was creating, but she simply smiled and increased her power output until the void couldn’t keep up with her creation.

"With my complete mastery of the time law," she thought confidently, "if I can’t suppress a kid’s domain, then no one could."

But no matter how much power she poured into it, she couldn’t get it to expand beyond a few meters around her body.

She looked up at the massive golden clock floating above them, her brow furrowed. She could sense that it was some sort of time ability, not quite at the level of a law, but still incredibly strong.

"Who could possibly release a time ability that could restrict my time domain?" She wondered.

She had completely mastered this law, the only person capable of such a feat would have to be someone with an even higher mastery of time than herself. But how was that even possible? She had become a god through the time law. How could anyone have greater understanding than her? It was impossible.

For someone to have greater understanding than her, they’d have to have spent their entire life just studying the law.

"Your understanding of time is quite high. You can even suppress her domain," Xiang Yu said, his voice filled with admiration.

[Just so-so] the Empress replied unenthusiastically. She thought to herself that her senior sister had forced her to study it back then. She hadn’t really thought much of it and just studied casually.

The Empress turned her attention to Li Yao.

[Anyway, this is just a temporary measure and I don’t have enough energy to keep it up for long. You guys need to find a way to end this] she said.

"End this?" Li Yao repeated the words, her voice uncertain. She wondered if they could really do it. Even without the time domain advantage, the pure physical strength difference was insane.

[That’s right] the Empress said.

Then she smiled. [I have just the way to do it] she said.

"How?" Li Yao asked, her interest piqued.
