[AN: I made an error in the previous Chapter. Four people landed from the gate instead of three.]
"The Primordial Timeline," uttered a woman dressed in a black hanfu, luscious black hair tied into two pony-tails, hidden cold eyes, but a sweet smile. She stood at the center with two other men standing slightly behind her, and Time Eater at the back.
"White Saber, what do you sense?" she asked toward a middle-aged man in black martial clothes holding a white saber.
"Perfection, Completion, and Hope," White Saber responded, which was odd since he was blind. However, no one present would underestimate him. Cultivators did not need their eyes after developing their divine senses, but that alone was not the reason no one dared underestimate this Second Commander.
"Indeed, there is something in this world that makes me feel excited; it’s as if I were a child who has missed their mother’s embrace since birth and has returned," Third Commander Cui Yi — a man in a red robe and golden bracelets — added. Time Eater glanced at him. This man looked ordinary, and his aura was not that of a Boundless Paragon, but somehow, it did not lose to the other two.
"If even we can feel the difference, I cannot imagine how these Saints will react," Wan Yanmei commented.
Boom!
While these three were enjoying themselves, a golden palm descended from Heaven and Earth to target the spatial gate. Maitreya has been brewing this attack for countless yuan epochs, and she chose to use it just after the gate had sent in the first wave of individuals. However, the response of these four was rather calm.
Wan Yanmei opened a third eye on her forehead as she calmly watched this attack. As expected, the gate released a black shield that blocked the attack. The interesting thing is that not a single part of the dimension was affected.
"I thought you said she had used a flawed method to sanctify?" Wan Yanmei asked.
"She did," Time Eater explained.
"That attack was between 7-10 foundation pillars, meaning there is no way for her to have such strength had she used a flawed method."
"Could she have reforged her foundation?" Cui Yi asked.
"How long has it been since you escaped this place?" Wan Yanmei asked, and Time Eater swiftly calculated how long had passed since his disgraced exit and reported the number. However, the number only made Wan Yanmei frown.
"What do you think?"
"While it’s possible for her to raise her foundation to such a high level in such a short period, she would need a few opportunities — unless a higher Saint taught her," White Saber commented. "Regardless, it’s a sign of her talent that she can reach so far."
"I’m afraid our previous information is not as reliable as we thought," Cui Yi added, and his words made Wan Yanwei groan. She was accustomed to things not going as planned; in fact, she always expected it. However, this invasion of the Primordial Timeline is too essential, and a part of her hoped she might be lucky this time.
"What should we do?" Cui Yi asked.
"Things haven’t reached the point that we need to change the original plan yet," Wan Yanmei replied. She looked in the distance before using a spell to spread her voice far and wide.
"Citizen of the Primordial Branch, I am First Commander Wan Yanmei from the Divine Timeline’s Foreign Military Ministry. We are not enemies. For many years, we have lived in an isolated world devoid of resources, with our path cut off. Our presence here is a desperate attempt at survival and for a better future.
"There is no need to fight and kill each other. All we want is a place to call home, a place to lay roots, a place where we can cultivate in peace and continue our pursuit of the Dao. And that place does not have to be your world; it can be any other Chaos World.
"I can represent my timeline and am willing to negotiate a peaceful resolution to this world’s Saint. Please give me an answer as soon as possible."
The world suddenly became quiet as the weight of these words hung over the heads and hearts of many people. Was this woman telling the truth? Is war avoidable? What are the pros and cons of a swift and peaceful resolution? Many people were starting to think about these questions.
"My lady, you are wasting your time," Time Eater said. "Even if most people agree to a peaceful solution, the Overlords see this war as a means to increase their faction’s prosperity and find their Transcendent Path — they will not agree."
