Chapter 107 Top Design
Afraid of upsetting Ian, Nancy quickly explained their partnership in detail, including the concept, the plan, and the profit split.
A heavy silence lingered on the other end of the line. Nancy’s heart raced in her chest. After a few moments, she said softly, “Dad, if you don’t agree…”
“You’re running Duran now. You have the authority to decide.” Ian’s stern voice was laced with concern. “But Nancy, I have to warn you that Gideon is not as kind as he seems. You’re brilliant but still young. Don’t underestimate his methods.”
Nancy pressed her lips together. “I understand, Dad.”
“If this is the decision you’ve made, I’ll stand behind you,” Ian said.
“Thank you, Dad.” Nancy was deeply touched.
After hanging up, Ian’s expression remained unusually grim.
What exactly was Gideon planning?
Ian called his assistant. “Keep a close eye on Gideon, and notify me immediately if he makes any moves.
“Yes, Mr. Moore,” the assistant replied.
Nancy put down her phone and let out a sigh of relief, though her anxiety returned soon after. She didn’t believe Gideon was a bad person, but her father’s words had made her cautious.
Determined, she threw herself into the business development project.
Unbeknownst to her at the time, the new product launch of the design department was about to kick off.
The department had a regular team of models, and Nancy returned to Lidell Group to select the models who would wear their designs for the show.
In the large room, the models stood in a line, taking turns walking for the designers.
Nancy watched closely, jotting down a few names that stood out.
Raine glanced at her and smiled. “Nancy, have you made your choices?” “Yes,” Nancy replied.
Light, let’s announce them. I’ve chosen Isabelle Monroe, Felicia Bowman…

Her eye for talent was undeniably sharp, and her selections included the best models on the
scene.
Nancy’s fingers drummed lightly against the table. “One of your picks overlaps with mine. Felicia is also on my list.”
“Oh, what a coincidence. In that case, let’s leave the decision up to them,” Raine said, smiling as she looked at the models.
Nancy watched them too.
Felicia’s face flickered with hesitation for just a moment before she said, “I choose Raine.”
She had worked with Lidell Group for a long time and knew how favored Raine was. This time, the designers‘ loyalties made it clear that Raine was the popular choice.
Choosing her would bring more attention and exposure.
Raine looked at Nancy apologetically. “Nancy, I’m sorry. It seems no one wants to choose you. You’re not angry, are you?”
“There’s nothing to be angry about,” Nancy replied calmly, her eyes sweeping over the crowd. They then landed on a girl in the far corner, her head bowed as if she hadn’t expected to be
chosen.
“You must be… Violet?” Nancy asked.
The girl in the corner looked up in surprise, meeting Nancy’s gaze straight on. “Yes, that’s me, ” she said quickly.
Nancy offered her a faint smile. “You’re the one.”
The models in front all turned to look at Violet Holland.
Violet froze, her voice trembling with disbelief as she asked, “Me? Are you talking about me?”
“Yes, you. Please follow me, everyone,” Nancy said decisively.
Raine immediately spoke up. “Nancy, you only have nine people. You’re still missing one.”
“I have my own plan for the last person. Let’s go.” Nancy stood and walked away.
Violet felt like she was in a dream. It wasn’t until the others had started moving that she snapped out of her daze and hurried to catch up.
They soon arrived at Nancy’s office.
The models‘ expressions ranged from casual to serious, with Violet standing out as

“Here are the new designs for this season. Please try them on,” Nancy said, pulling open a
wardrobe.
Eight pieces of clothing were neatly laid out before them. The intricate, stunning designs immediately transformed everyone’s casual expressions into looks of awe. Some even audibly gasped and covered their mouths.
“Oh my gosh. They’re so beautiful!”
“These are the most gorgeous clothes I’ve ever seen!”
Disbelief filled everyone’s eyes. How could this young woman, who had just returned from the countryside, possess such an extraordinary sense of style?
Nancy continued, “I’ll now assign the outfits. Please go and try them on.‘
One by one, Nancy handed out the pieces, and those who received a dress eagerly went to try it
In the end, only Violet remained.
She watched Nancy nervously. Nancy had called her over, but why didn’t she have a dress to wear?
Nancy guided her to the side. “Come with me,” she said, leading Violet to a quiet dressing
room.
She opened the wardrobe inside. “You’ll wear this.”
The moment the door swung open, Violet’s eyes widened in stunned silence.
