Chapter 109 Natalie Against Hillary

“Yes! It’s very likely!” Violet nodded enthusiastically.

“Interesting,” Felicia remarked, raising an eyebrow. “Then, I look forward to seeing you win.”

She turned and walked away, the other models following behind her. But one of them glanced

back at Violet.

“Violet, you’re too bold. How could you speak to Felicia like that?”

Violet frowned. “Felicia went too far.”

“She’s not wrong. Nancy can’t possibly win,” the other woman said earnestly. “I suggest you apologize to Felicia right now.”

Violet pressed her lips together stubbornly. “No. I won’t apologize.”

The other woman groaned in exasperation.

Meanwhile, Nancy knew nothing about the argument that was happening outside. She had been trying to message Hillary but hadn’t received a reply.

Nancy wondered if she was still filming. She grabbed the clothes and headed straight for the

set.

The film crew was shooting in a suburban area that night.

When Nancy arrived, the sharp sound of a slap cut through the air, followed by an angry woman’s voice. “How dare you seduce my boyfriend?”

Nancy saw a supporting actress and Hillary standing in front of the camera. The supporting

actress’ eyes

burned with fury, while Hillary’s cheek was already red and swollen. Yet, her enchanting face remained cold and disdainful.

“I told you, a man like that isn’t worthy of my seduction.”

“You!” The supporting actress was too furious to speak.

“Cut!”

Suddenly, Natalie, who had been standing beside the director, spoke up.

The director turned to her. “Ms. Langley, is that still not good enough? We’ve already done more than a dozen takes, and I think their emotions came through very well this time.”

Natalie frowned. “No, I still don’t think Hillary is capturing the right emotion.”

Hillary immediately shot a look at Natalie. “If you think I’m not getting it, then tell me what emotion you’re looking for.’

“I’m not an actress,” Natalie said calmly. “I’m just giving my opinion. Go and fix your makeup. We’ll reshoot soon.”

Hillary seethed but walked off to get her makeup touched up without another word.

Her assistant watched her, tears welling in her eyes. “Hillary… Natalie is clearly out to get you. Weren’t you two close friends? Why is she doing this?”

She glanced at Hillary’s swollen face, yet Natalie still refused to approve the take.

Everyone on set could see that Natalie was deliberately tormenting Hillary, yet no one dared to speak up.

She might just be a screenwriter, but every show she’d written in recent years had been a

blockbuster.

At that moment, she was arguably the most famous screenwriter around. Who would risk offending her? After all, they all wanted a spot on her next hit.

“Why didn’t I know there was a scene like this?”

A cold yet pleasant voice sliced through the night, instantly drawing everyone’s attention. Beneath the dim moonlight, a tall, graceful figure emerged, moving toward them with elegant, composed strides.

Hillary’s eyes slowly widened.

Why was Nancy here?

This was bad.

Nancy stopped in front of Natalie and looked down at her. “Natalie, what are you doing?”

The sheer chill in her gaze sent an oppressive weight into the air. Natalie’s body trembled slightly, her mind momentarily blank, but she quickly regained her composure. “Nancy, we’re filming. Please don’t interrupt.”

“Filming? I don’t remember this scene in the script.” Nancy’s lips curved into a sneer. She had revised the script for Natalie and clearly remembered every

detail.

“I changed it. What’s the problem?” Natalie responded. “Do I need to report to you on how my script changes?”

Her casual, almost arrogant demeanor sharply contrasted with her usual gentle, compliant
