Chapter 11 Are You Worthy

Gideon looked away and lowered his gaze. He spotted something Nancy had left behind on the car seat.

Not long after Nancy entered her office, someone barged in.

Fergus‘ face was dark with anger, while her assistant, Hannah, looked apologetic. “Ms. Moore, I’m sorry. I couldn’t stop him from barging in. I’ll get security now!”

“It’s fine. You may leave now,” Nancy said calmly.

After Hannah left, Fergus strode over to Nancy and grabbed her collar. Gritting his teeth, he snarled, “Do you think you can provoke Raine just because you’re my biological sister? Who gave you the confidence to do so, huh?”

He tried to lift Nancy up, but to his surprise, she didn’t move an inch.

Nancy shot him a calm look. “Did Raine instruct you to cause trouble for me?”

“Cause trouble? I’m here to teach you a lesson!” Fergus‘ gaze turned menacing and cold. “Apologize to Raine right now. Then tell Ms. Jackson this is all your scheme!”

“What if I refuse to apologize?” Nancy remained indifferent.

“You refuse to apologize? I’ll make sure you lose your job here!” Fergus tried to lift Nancy again, only to find that she wouldn’t budge.

He had no idea she was this heavy.

With that realization, he swung a fist toward her shoulder.

Nancy’s expression turned icy as she caught Fergus‘ fist easily. In the next instant, a sharp twist had him screaming in pain.

“Ow!” Fergus felt as though his hand was broken.

He glanced down to see his hand hanging limply by his side.

Fergus‘ eyes turned red immediately. He released his grip on her collar and held his broken hand. “You bitch! I’m your brother. How could you be this ruthless to me?”

“Brother?”

Fergus‘ expression changed. “I know. He’s your sugar daddy, right? That’s why you managed to become the skincare department’s manager at Duran Corporation?”
