Chapter 146 Natalie Cannot Stop Stirring the Pot
Chapter 146 Natalie Cannot Stop Stirring the Pot
“What? Then, what do you want me to do?” Hillary asked.
Nancy let out a patient sigh. “If you lay a hand on Natalie, who do you think she’ll name when she posts about it later? It’ll only make her twice as insufferable. Take a breath, focus on your scenes, and let me handle her.”
Hillary got the message. She was dying to know what Nancy had up her sleeve, but the cameras were already rolling. After dropping a few more words, she jogged back to the set.
Nancy sat off to the side while Natalie’s crew chattered loudly. Hillary’s team kept their heads down, but the constant noise soon had them frowning in irritation.
“Ms. Moore,” the producer, Kenneth Gardner, said as he edged closer, keeping his voice low.” I didn’t expect you to be here today.”
He spoke in a murmur, aware that Nancy didn’t want attention drawn to her. The Moores were being watched closely enough as it was.
Nancy nodded in acknowledgment.
Kenneth shot a look at the crew next door. “They’re really hurting our work. Do you want me to take care of it?”
Nancy huffed a small laugh. “We’re a legitimate company, not a cartel. Don’t worry. I’m here, and I’ll deal with it myself.”
“Yes, Ms. Moore,” Kenneth said, trusting her without reservation.
Nancy was about to call The Grand Regent when Gideon’s call came through. She stepped away
to answer.
“Hey, Nance. Still buried beneath the covers?” Gideon asked softly.
But then he caught the bustling noises in the background. “Are you on location?”
“Yeah. I’m at Hillary’s set,” Nancy replied.
“Dropping in to check on them? Are you staying for lunch?” The warmth in his tone was impossible to miss.
“I am. I was just about to call The Grand Regent for catering.”
“You don’t have to call them. I’ll have them deliver the food for you,” Gideon said without hesitating.

Nancy didn’t refuse. The Grand Regent never took group orders, so she would have had to talk it over with them anyway.
If Gideon could make it happen, that would save her a headache. “Thanks, Gideon.”
“No problem.” Receiving her thanks, Gideon couldn’t help but smile. “I miss you, darling.”
Nancy felt her cheeks warm and hummed in response.
Gideon knew she was shy but still pushed anyway. “Do you miss me?”
“1…” The word caught in her throat.
“Say it,” he coaxed, his voice deep and low. “Darling, tell me you miss me.’
Nancy’s lips pressed together and then parted to say, “I… I miss you.”
The sweetness of it all went straight to Gideon.
Sunlight poured in through the windows, and for a second, he could have sworn a rainbow appeared outside.
“Alright, darling,” he said, impossibly gentle.
They chatted for another moment.
When Nancy hung up and turned around, Hillary was squinting at her like a detective.
Nancy started, then smoothed her expression and walked over.
“Spill it,” Hillary said. “Who were you on the phone with?”
“Gideon,” Nancy replied.
Hillary’s eyes narrowed. “Are you two together?”
Nancy blinked. “What gave it away?”
“Please! Look at yourself!” Hillary clutched her chest in mock agony. “I can’t believe Gideon swooped in and stole my babe!”
Hillary thought they were a great match, but best friends were allowed to be a little bitter.
Curiosity won out. “Are you going to tell your parents?” Hillary asked.
“Not yet,” Nancy said. “If things thaw with the Fullers, I will.”
“Fair enough. You’re already in a work collaboration. If nothing goes wrong, your dad will probably support your relationship. You’d be miles ahead of everyone else if your families
