Chapter 179 When Did She Become This Much of a Pervert
Nancy’s face immediately turned red. She covered her chest and said, “I’ll change.”
“It’s fine, darling. I’m not a stranger,” Gideon said as he walked in.
Nancy ignored him and quickly changed into a comfortable outfit. When she came out, she took the bouquet of roses from him, feeling lighter as she looked at the beautiful flowers. “Why did you suddenly bring me flowers?”
“I just wanted to give them to you for no particular reason,” he replied. They sat on the couch, and he rested his hand behind her as he looked at her. It was as if he had pulled her into his embrace.
She suddenly looked up and smiled at him. “Thank you.”
Her bright eyes lit up before him, leaving him momentarily stunned. Of course, she didn’t notice at all, still smelling the roses in her hands.
He looked at her face, inhaling the faint scent of her body wash, and took a long while to regain control of his emotions. His voice came out a little hoarse. “Darling, are you free tomorrow?”
“There’s nothing important tomorrow. What’s up?”
“You’ve been in Riversdale for so long, but you haven’t gone out for some fun, have you? Let me take you to an auction,” he said, handing her the auction brochure.
She opened it, seeing many rare treasures listed. There were also some tea leaves that Ian liked but were usually hard to find.
“Alright, let’s go together,” she agreed.
He smiled. “I’ll pick you up tomorrow.”
“But…” She paused with a hint of worry in her eyes.
He understood her concern and gently tapped her nose. “Don’t worry. I’ve checked. The people at this auction are all from Riversdale’s business circle. There are very few people here who would
recognize me.’
She then relaxed a little.
“Get some rest, darling. I’ll leave now,” he said.
She nodded and felt her cheeks burn. However, she froze for a second when she caught sight of his striking face so close to hers, her heartbeat quickening. After walking him to the door, she tidied up a bit and soon went to bed.
The next morning, she woke up, did her makeup, and changed into a formal off-shoulder dress that
There was a knock at the door, and she saw Gideon when she went to open it. He was dressed in an expensive suit. He looked every bit the gentleman, like a prince stepping out of an Azrean painting- handsome beyond words.
Gideon looked at her, who was even more stunning now with a light touch of makeup. The off- shoulder dress revealed her smooth, graceful shoulders. His gaze darkened as he asked softly, “Are you really going to the auction dressed like this?”
“Is there something wrong with it?” She checked herself over.
“No, you look beautiful.” He took her hand.
By 10:00 am, they arrived at the auction venue. It was filled with many prominent figures from
Riversdale.
Gideon suddenly stopped and draped his coat over her shoulders. “The air conditioning here is too
low. You’ll catch a cold.”
She nodded, noticing the way his waistcoat and white shirt outlined his broad shoulders and slim waist. He looked even more attractive and irresistible now. Suddenly, she wondered if he hid abs
beneath the fabric.
