Chapter 50 I Miss You
Nancy froze when she saw the photo inside. Suddenly, her phone rang.
“I suddenly remembered that there’s something I need in my jacket pocket. Can I come and get it from you right now?”
Although Gideon’s voice was as calm as usual, Nancy caught a faint trace of urgency. She
wondered why he was in such a rush to take his jacket back.
Soon, Nancy’s doorbell rang.
When Nancy opened the door, she saw that Gideon was wearing the same outfit as before. He hadn’t even had time to change before coming over.
“Here’s your jacket.”
Gideon breathed a sigh of relief after taking the jacket from her. However, he heard Nancy asking a question in the next second, “About your wallet…”
Gideon froze, wondering if she had seen the photo inside her wallet. Although he had already considered all sorts of possibilities, he didn’t plan on telling her about it so soon for fear of scaring
her.
Her next words followed. “Who’s the person in the picture?”
Gideon paused and felt himself calming down.
“You saw it?” He gazed at her and asked.
“Yes. Who is it?” Nancy asked.
“You don’t know who it is?” Gideon questioned.
Nancy shook her head, wondering if she should know who it was.
Gideon smiled. “You’ll find out in the future. I’ll head back first.”
After Gideon left, Nancy returned indoors. However, she still felt that something was amiss.
If Gideon kept a photo of a woman in his wallet, it had to mean that she was very important to him Nancy wondered who it could possibly be.
Before she could begin to dwell on it, her phone rang with a call from Ian. “Nancy, how are you doing recently? The auction will start soon. I’ll head over and drop by to see you as well.”
Nancy replied gently, “Okay I looked over this year’s auction and saw a lot of potential projects. I’m sure we can take some down.”
“That’s the Nancy I know and love. Right, I heard that something happened to Duran Corporation,” lan said wornedly.
“It’s nothing serious I’ll have it resolved soon”
After chatting for a while, Nancy asked, “Where’s Mom?”

“Well, she…” Trailing off, Ian glanced at Freya, whose expression was filled with both longing and
sorrow.
Freya wanted to talk to Nancy, but she was afraid that Nancy had already grown close to the Lidell family.
Although Freya had mentally prepared herself for this outcome, she still found it difficult to
accept.
Seeing Freya shake her head, Ian replied, “She’s been sleeping quite early recently.”
“Okay, then. Dad, please tell Mom that I miss her a lot,” Nancy whispered.
