Chapter 204
Just as lan set the recorder down on the coffee table, Mitchell rushed in, banging on the door.
Andrea quickly bent down, grabbed her clothes from the floor, and started putting them on.

Because the recorder Ian placed on the coffee table was disguised as a pen, Andrea only gave it a quick glance.
She assumed it was just a regular pen and didn’t give it a second thought, too busy trying to get dressed.
Mitchell walked straight up to lan, not even glancing at Andrea. “Mr. Hamilton, Mr. Yale from Farwell Group is waiting outside. He said he saw you come into this room and wants to invite you over to his private room for a drink with a few other executives.”
Ian couldn’t help but frown.
Hamilton Group and Farwell Group had always worked together, and with Mr. Yale coming over to invite him personally, it’d be hard to just ignore him.
Ian glanced at Andrea.
Andrea quickly tried to please him. “Ian, you go take care of business. I’ll wait here for you.”
Ian, without missing a beat, calmly picked up the recorder from the coffee table and slipped it back into his hand.
He turned to Andrea. “I promised you a birthday you’ll never forget, and I always keep my promises. Just hang tight for a bit, okay?”
Andrea’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Ian, that’s all I need to hear. I’ll wait for you, no matter how late it gets.”
Ian nodded and hurried out of the private room with Mitchell.
As the door closed behind them, Andrea was left alone in the private room, pacing restlessly as anxiety bubbled inside her.
From lan’s whole vibe tonight, it was obvious he was hoping for something special with her.
Now that sly witch Chloe was out of the picture, lan was finally single.
She couldn’t let this golden opportunity go to waste.
She needed to make sure everyone saw lan throwing her a birthday party, showing the world they were officially together now.
That way, every other woman could just give up on her dreams about lan for good.
Thinking it over, Andrea grabbed her phone and dialed Vivian

Andrea said, “Vivian, Ian’s throwing a birthday party for me tonight–and we’re finally getting back together. I need you to set up a banquet hall, take care of the decorations, and make sure all our friends get the invite.”
Vivian’s voice came through cold as ice. “Andrea, you haven’t paid back the 150 grand you borrowed from me, and you still dare to ask me for help?”
Andrea replied coolly, “Vivian, after tonight, I’ll be Ian’s girl. Once I marry him, I’ll be Mrs. Hamilton. Do you seriously believe I’d cheat you out of 150 grand?”
Andrea said, “Forget it–if you won’t help, I’ll just find someone else. I’ll settle up your 150 grand plus interest tomorrow, so after tonight, we’re done as friends.”
Andrea sneered inwardly, “Seriously, she thinks she’s still worthy of being friends with me?”
Once she was officially Mrs. Hamilton, Vivian–just some rich kid’s illegitimate daughter–wouldn’t even be good enough to follow her around, let alone carry her shoes.
Vivian paused for a moment on the line.
Vivian said, “Andrea, we’ve been friends for a while. I wouldn’t let a bit of money come between us. As long as you remember who always had your back when you’re Mrs. Hamilton, that’s enough for me.”
Vivian promised, “Relax, I’ll take care of the banquet hall and make sure every single one of our friends gets the invite.”
Andrea didn’t miss a beat. “Oh, and try to get Mrs. Hamilton and Miss Hamilton to show up, too–they shouldn’t miss out on the fun.”
When the call ended, Andrea curled her lips into a sly, victorious smirk.
Ian had given her his word–tonight, her birthday celebration was happening for real.
She was dying to see the look on that old witch Miranda’s face when she saw her prized son with Andrea, side by side.
After a few minutes, Andrea called her mom.
She said, “Mom, Ian and I are getting back together tonight. I need you to go and invite Dr. Irvine over.”
Laura’s voice echoed, confused. “Why would you want to invite his ex–wife?”
Andrea picked up her glass and took a dainty sip.
She said, “Mom, make sure you go with my brother and my sister–in–law. Whatever it takes, you have to drag that bitch to my birthday party”
‘I want that conniving bitch Chloe to watch, in person, as lan throws me the birthday party of a lifetime- showering me with his precious gifts and officially getting back together with me, Andrea thought, her eyes gleaming.
‘I can’t wait to see the jealousy twisting on Chloe’s pathetic face, Andrea gloated inwardly.

Laura turned to Chloe and said, “Dr. Irvine, Mr. Hamilton is throwing a birthday party for my daughter tonight, hoping to get back together with her. Since you’ve been helping Andrea with her insomnia lately, she thought you should come celebrate with us.”
Jill snapped at them, irritation clear in her voice. “It’s the middle of the night and you’re banging on our door, disturbing everyone. If you don’t leave, I’m calling the police!”
Chloe stood with her hands on her hips. “Dr. Irvine, do you seriously still think you might get back with Mr. Hamilton?”
Frank’s expression was grim as he pointed at them. “My daughter’s divorced from Hamilton, and whoever he wants to be with now is none of her business. Get out of here, or I won’t be so nice.”
Andrea’s brother jumped in, “My sister sent us to ask Dr. Irvine to join us. She really just wants to reach out and be friends.”
Laura pointed right at Chloe, snapping, “Chloe, if you keep coming up with excuses not to go, you must be hiding something. Still not willing to let go of all that Hamilton money, huh? Still hoping Mr. Hamilton will take you back? You just can’t stand to see him and my daughter together–so you’re too scared to show your face!”
Chloe shot a cold look at the three pests, then quietly urged her parents back inside, wanting to shield them from the drama.
She said, “Dad, Mom, go ahead and get some rest. I’ll go along with them–don’t worry.”
‘If I let these people keep stirring up trouble out here, not only will my family get no sleep, but they’ll disturb the whole neighborhood too, Chloe thought, feeling her patience running thin.
Meanwhile, at the Royal Court Club.
Just as Ian wrapped up his business and came back to the private room, Andrea got up and eagerly asked him to join her at the birthday banquet.
Andrea said, “lan, Vivian knows today’s my birthday and specially arranged a party for me. Since she went to all that trouble, will you come with me?”
Ian looked down, masking his emotions.
He paused for a moment before nodding. “If you really want everyone to know, let’s go then.”
Andrea hadn’t expected Jan to agree so readily. “lan, I just knew you’d always put me first.”
When everyone saw her walking in with lan on her arm at the birthday party, she’d be the center of attention
for sure.
‘Let’s see if that bitch Chloe can still put on that fake smile, Andrea thought, gloating inside.
