Mated To The Cruel Prince novel Chapter 124

Chapter 124: Visit Their Baby Brother

The second Fae towered over her and unlike the first Fae who looked like he would murder her with the intensity of his glares alone, this one exuded sensual grace and had a teasing smile that curved the corners of his mouth. He had a cute dimple.

Just like Aldric, the second Fae’s beauty was devastating except his features were more softened. While Aldric glowed with the cold, unearthly aura of a god of war, this Fae looked like the god of love she’s heard in stories and his looks were effeminate.

He had strawberry blonde hair that flowed down his shoulder and seemed to dance in the breeze - she was so jealous. His skin was a vibrant orange hue and his eyes which were a liquid gold seem to glitter. He carried the scent of woodsmoke and apples and was full of mischievous energy.

Aldric was the only Fae she had seen tattooed with runes but this Fae had a display of intricate vines and vibrate red and orange leaves filling up his arms, the drawing shimmering in the sunlight. He beguiled and made her wary at the same time.

"Going somewhere, sweetheart?" His words dripped with honey and a shiver ran dance her spine with the way his intriguing gaze bore into her. It wasn’t until she felt the familiar tingle of magic wash over her skin that she schooled her expression and took several steps back only to bump into the other Fae.

Seriously, what’s with the Fae’s and crowding her in like prey? Islinda was close to accusing them of intentionally making her bump into their hard body. Do they get off on the feeling or what? Or was she the only one thinking too much?

The second Fae looked amused with her situation, "She’s interesting though, don’t you think so brother?"

Brother?!

Islinda’s ears rang with that piece of information. They looked nothing alike, not with the first Fae looking like the world perpetually hurt him. How could two brothers look so different?

But that was when it hit her, that voice....

"You!" Islinda pointed at the second Fae with wide eyes, her jaw almost dropping to the ground as recognition dawned on her, "You’re Marcus..."

"You finally remember, human." His grin widened while his eyes twinkled with pride.

Oh no, Islinda swallowed.

Marcus was no other than the human back in the marketplace who had sold the Iron arrow to her. Back then, she had been so unsuspecting of his identity and traded with him. No wonder his voice was familiar. While his face and demeanor changed, his voice didn’t.

"How...?" Her eyes seemed to communicate the question.

"You met my alter ego in the human realm. How nice to see you now in my revealed form, human." He said, flourishing his arms and bowing low at the waist.

This is it, Islinda was done. There was only so much a human could take and this was one of it. To think that she had been deluded to believe she was safe in the human realm when these creatures walked amongst men with their deceitful glamours and skins. freeweɓnøvel~com

No, she can’t do this anymore. Islinda wanted to go back to her room, no, prison, and sleep, forgetting that this ever happened.

Islinda needed to deceive herself into thinking she was back in the human realm where everything was perfect. Except nothing was easy, not even while she was with her family. If anything, her life was better, easier now when she wasn’t being threatened by Aldric’s games and other Fae’s.

Aldric turned to her accusingly, "Where’s Issac?" There was anger in his voice as he said, "Wasn’t he supposed to chaperone you?"

"Don’t blame the poor girl, Aldric. A little diversion spell and we sent the measly Fae guard away. We needed to hold a meaningful conversation with the human who’s caused such commotion in the Fae realm a few days after her arrival." Andre said, not recognizing the storm brewing in the dark prince’s eyes.

"You stepped into my territory," Aldric growled, his face darkening and the tension in the air was palpable.

Islinda breathed nervously, she didn’t want this to escalate into a fight having seen the level of destruction these creatures were capable of, not to mention there was no guarantee she would be safe.

"Don’t be like this Aldric, it is not a crime to visit our baby brother, is it?"
