Islinda had a nightmare.
In her dream, her new sister and friend from last night turned into a horse and she could hear her voice in her head too. Crazy.
Good thing, it was in a dream, right?
Except it wasn’t a dream and after a while, Islinda stirred and opened her eyes to the scene of Issac and Maxi looming over her.
Maxi?!
Islinda bolted up to her feet causing both Fae to back away and give her space to recuperate as the human stared at them, well, Maxi in particular, with wide, wild eyes.
"It wasn’t a dream," Islinda muttered, her brain finally resuming its functionality. While it seems like hours, Islinda merely fainted for a minute from the shocking revelation before she
came back to reality.
Her gaze locked in on Maxi to confirm this was reality only for her eyes to widen to the size of the moon because Maxi was naked. Her jaw dropped open as she ogled Maxi, not because she wanted to, but because she couldn’t drag her eyes away, shocked to the core.
"Fuck!" Issac cursed from behind before Islinda heard the ruffling of Fabrics. And the next she knew, Issac was blocking the view of the shamelessly naked Maxi and pulled the tunic over her head, helping her put on the tunic as he admonished her,
"I told you that your immodesty was going to cause problems one day, yet you never listened."
But Maxi answered, "Immodesty is the life of every shifter. You are not seriously going to provide me with an endless supply of clothes that would shred whenever I shift, right?" She questioned Issac with her head tilted, patiently waiting for an answer.
However, her impish gaze landed on Islinda and she said, "Moreover, we both know she would have to leave her modest human tendencies pretty soon, after all, Fae’s are not all that different from shifters -"
"Except we don’t walk around naked with every given opportunity. Now shoo, Maxi, you have scared her enough." Issac chided her, although there was a hint of humor in his tone. The Fae had been treated to a very interesting drama of Islinda fainting. Good thing, he brought the human here to face the truth, instead of telling her the truth. At least, now he had another leverage over her and could tease her with it endlessly.
Maxi chuckled, "Who told you she’s scared, Issac? I believe she loves what she saw," She said with a knowing look that had Islinda going red in the face.
The blush increased as Islinda realized that Maxi saw her drinking in the sight of her greedily with her eyes. She had not meant to stare shamelessly, but Maxi had the perfect body she had ever seen.
With smooth skin and full breasts that stood erect and did not seem like they would sag anytime soon in the future, long legs that stretched on forever, and a naturally rounded bottom, Maxi was the perfect epitome of a sexy female. And she was so beautiful and perfect that she was capable of turning even a straight person gay. It was no wonder Islinda couldn’t help but check out her assets.
Islinda felt her head reeling, so much happened within a short time. She began to feel a headache which made her rub the side of her head as she apologized to Maxi, "Nonetheless, that doesn’t excuse my action and for that, I’m truly sorry."
Issac looked at her with surprise, this was the first time he was seeing her look a tiny bit apologetic. Perhaps, the human’s influence on her wasn’t so bad.
"Give her time and she would understand why you had to keep your identity a secret. Knowing Islinda’s nature, she would probably come to bother you the instant she wakes up." Issac told her, adjusting the human’s weight in his arms so she was comfortable, noticing she weighed less than he expected.
He barely took a step to leave when he stopped and told her, "You should change now before someone sees. I will come to keep you company after I settle the human in her room."
At once, Maxi’s expression brightened at his promise, excited at the prospect of it happening. It was honestly boring pretending to be a horse all day. Although she was technically both, her Fae form was stronger and more social. Not to mention, even the real horses in the stable trees treated her like an outcast, having sensed she was a bigger predator among them.
But Issac did not stay to see the excited look on her face and left with Islinda. He did not see any of the staff on the way and was able to get Islinda without anyone fussing over her condition.
There was a complicated look on Issac’s face after he laid Islinda down on her bed and stared at her. With a deep sigh, he brought out a small dagger from the pocket of his pants and reached for Islinda’s hair, chopping a lock of it.
Issac cut her hair from a position where she wouldn’t easily notice and closed his palm over the brown strands. He had no choice, he had to do this.
"Forgive me." Issac muttered and left.
