MATED TO THE VAMPIRE KING SON novel Chapter 7

THE CALL OF DESTINY

**Freda’s POV

“Get off you lazy brat. We are already in your room.” Kara screamed at me but I didn’t want to come down from her back. More like I was too tired to even lift a finger and the fact she woke me up from my slumber wasn’t really helping my case.

“Can’t you just let me sleep a little bit more?” I said lazily. Her back was really a good place to just la… I found myself forcefully hauled to my bed like a gummy sack.

“What the hell Kara can’t you be a bit gentler?” I squealed feigning an expression of pain but in reality I welcomes the inviting softness of my bed. I had never appreciated the value of owning a bed more than this moment.

“Get your shit together you lazy oaf.” Kara rolled her eyes and she got on the bed with me.

“Hey, it’s not like I have the super regeneration thingy or whatever.” I complained bitterly as I reached for my pillow and covered my head with it. I just wanted to go to the land of dreams and forget about the harrowing experience of today.

I willed the sleep to come but I couldn’t seem to get any shut eye as my thoughts began to get hyper active. I thought about a lot of thing until I suddenly remembered the dream I had last night. I remembered everything with extreme detail. His handsome pale face, his tall frame, and his clothes that were dark as night itself. The thing that left me with the deepest impression however was his pair of ruby eyes that seemed to stare directly at your soul when you looked at it. He seemed perfect in a dangerous and edgy kind of way.

I hesitated for a little bit before I decided to share this dream that I had with Kara. Who knows, she might even be able to identify who the handsome dude is.

“Uhm, Kara. There’s something I wanted to talk to you about.” I flung the pillow off my face and faced Kara who was absorbed with reading one of the numerous novels in my room.

“Humans do have an interesting take on fiction.” Kara muttering as she continued to flip through the pages completely lost in the book.

“Hey, listen to me for a second.” I snatched the book from her hands, snapping her back to reality and she blinked her eyes and lunged for me.

“Give it back to me. Didn’t you see me reading it?” Kara squealed as she tried to snatch the book back from me but I threw it across the room and she stopped her struggles.

“Why did you do that?” she whined as she pouted her lips. “I was getting to the part where she confessed to faki…”

“We’ll talk about that later. We really need to talk, it’s about a dream I had.” I interrupted her impatiently. I really needed her to help me identify this mystery guy that I had dreamt about.

“Alright fine. What do you want to talk about?” Kara rolled her eyes as she sulked.
