Chapter 81 Catherine Actually Chooses Jeremy
With everything resolved, Harry, Rachel, and the others went to the hospital.
By then, Catherine had regained consciousness. Seeing so many people in her ward, she was startled. “Nigel. Rachel. What brings you here?”
“Are you still feeling unwell anywhere?” Rachel shoved her way through the crowd in a rush, claiming the spot beside Catherine.
Catherine shook her head. “I’m okay. I’m a lot better now. It doesn’t hurt anymore.”
“That’s good then.” Rachel nodded in relief.
“Harry already taught Yvonne a harsh lesson. If she dares trouble you again, I swear I won’t let her off.” A hint of disdain flickered across Rachel’s expression at the mere mention of Yvonne.
Catherine instinctively glanced at Harry. He was dressed in a gray top and white trousers, with a pair of gray slippers on his feet. His hair was tousled and untidy.
She had never seen him so disheveled before. However, she quickly averted her eyes.
She knew Yvonne wasn’t the real mastermind. It was Michelle. But given Harry’s protective nature,
he would never truly do anything to Michelle.
Catherine hummed softly in response.
Harry wanted to ask about how she was doing, but when he saw her distant demeanor, he swallowed
his words.
Later, Catherine exchanged a few courteous remarks with Rachel.
After staying under observation for another day, Catherine was discharged. Harry wanted to drive
her home.
While she changed clothes, he waited quietly outside the door. Once she came out, he instinctively reached to carry her bag, but Catherine dodged him. “I really don’t want to see you right now.”
In a low voice, Harry said, “It was my fault, and I’m really sorry about that. I don’t think it’s safe for you to live alone. Why don’t you come home with me?”
Catherine didn’t respond. She didn’t even want to waste words on him. When she spotted Jeremy walking toward her, she calmly handed the latter her bag.
Casting Harry a glance, Jeremy took Catherine by the hand and led her away. For once, she didn’t pull away.
Harry’s eyes widened slightly. Just as he was about to follow, Jeremy said, “Mr. Zimmerman, we’ll be

Harry froze in place. His thoughts were a jumbled mess, and his chest ached with each beat.

He had always known Catherine had chosen Jeremy. Back then, it had only stirred his anger, but now it weighed heavily on him, leaving him breathless. He couldn’t make sense of why it shook him so deeply.
After a moment of hesitation, Harry followed outside, only to see Catherine already in Jeremy’s car. All he could do was stare as the car disappeared into the distance.
