Chapter 96 Reluctant to Let Catherine Go
“Mr. Zimmerman, you’re soaked.” Adrian immediately stepped forward and held an umbrella for
Harry.
Harry massaged his aching forehead. Sorrow filled his eyes.
“Let’s go back first. Contact the doctor in advance.”
Harry brought Catherine back to their old home. He was glad he had bought the house to prevent someone else from getting their hands on it.
He carried Catherine to their room. After the doctor confirmed that she wasn’t sick, Harry was
relieved.
After helping Catherine change out of her wet clothes, Harry asked Adrian to make some honey lemon water. Finally, he changed out of his wet clothes.
Adrian seemed like he wanted to say something, but he swallowed his words and sighed instead.
Catherine woke up very soon. When she saw the familiar room, she lay in stunned silence.
Harry walked into the room, carrying a glass of honey lemon water. “Drink this.”
Catherine didn’t move. She looked up at Harry with swollen eyes. “Are you the one who bought this
house?”
Harry didn’t deny it. “Yes.”
Catherine silently stared at the glass of honey lemon water in his hand. Then, she sneered and swatted the glass in his hand away. “Were you also the one who rejected my loan application?”
Her interrogative tone hurt Harry, but what she said was true. He did reject her loan application, so he didn’t try to deny it.
The hot honey lemon water spilled over the back of his hand. Scalded, his skin turned red.
However, Harry didn’t say a word. “I’m sorry.”
Catherine turned away from Harry, “I don’t accept your apology. I never want to see you again.”
She worked tirelessly for that loan. She thought that she could take a long break if the bank accepted her application. Then, she wouldn’t need to look for investors.
However, Harry ruined all of her efforts with one word. Looking at Harry now, she couldn’t help but
find it ironic.
Harry had always been the person who hurt her most.

Harry’s eyes darkened. He stood up to get another glass of honey lemon water and delivered it to her bedside. “You can be angry at me, but please take care of your health…”
Catherine sat up and glared at him. “What’s the point of caring for me now? Why didn’t you do this sooner?”
Harry lowered his voice. “At least drink the honey lemon water. You were soaked in the rain earlier-
“Harry, you don’t have to pretend to care about me. It’s disgusting.” The sight of Harry disgusted
her.
Harry paused and placed the glass of honey lemon water on the nightstand. “Remember to drink the honey lemon water. I won’t disturb you anymore.”
